How do I deal with a Weird creepy dad from school?

My brother calls me at the weekend giggling asking when was the last time you went to a certain local pub by ours. Bit random I thought then he couldn't stop giggling and eventually told me that theres a google review of the place and see photos of me on there too.

I quickly jump on google to check it out thinking he's joking and he's not, it was a kids party of someone in my sons class from last year or even before. I saw the name and recognised it right away, our kids are in the same sports team but i've barely spoken to this guy. his wife see regularly as our children are in the same class but its always her at the school, i'm actually creeped out by it as they do seem to be a facebook family - whatever they're doing there are updates and photos throughout the day! Im completely the opposite.

There are at least 4 photos of me alone, no other mums in them at all, 1 with another child who wasn't mine in the background, but for the most part i'm sitting there not noticing he's taken them, im looking away, on 1 of them im dealing with my own child who was upset but hes cropped him out and just left me. he's then added them to a google review to say the party was great and the pub was fabulous. i'm a little weirded out by this though, and I definitely don't want my photos on google without my permission!! I also dont want it to become a thing as from what I can gather of him he's very sarcastic and if he knew this had got to me would probably refuse to take them down. Can I report them in anyway?

That's grim! I could handle being in group photos but on my own- weird! There must be a report button but not sure Google will take them down as not offensive.

Ask him to remove them. Say he's posted photos without your permission. While you're at it mention that you don't want any photos of yourself or your family on social media so could be check his accounts.

Aquamarine1029 · 04/06/2019 14:50

I would send this weirdo a terse, brief message that you want the photos taken down, and you are very uncomfortable by the fact your picture was taken so many times and posted without your permission. I would also file a report with Google in hopes they will take down the pictures if he won't. That's so creepy, op.

Soola · 04/06/2019 14:51

I’d speak to his wife and tell her what you’ve seen and ask her to tell her husband to remove the pictures.

pigeonscooing · 04/06/2019 14:56

Agree with Soola - I bet his wife is thrilled to bits at her DH posting loads of photos of a random woman (ie: you) online. I hope she and other people don't suspect that the two of you have been having a fling though...

Aquamarine1029 · 04/06/2019 14:58

@Soola has a good idea. I think I would ask him first, but if he refuses, go straight to his wife.

MissAi · 04/06/2019 14:59

What a weirdo.

fedup21 · 04/06/2019 15:01

How many photos did he put up and how many of them are just of you!

SoConfused2019 · 04/06/2019 16:19

There are 4 altogether, I didn’t see him taking any at all, the adults were all sat around a corner booth type table whilst the kids were down the other end of the room having a disco.
I know from memory I was sat with other adults but ha chosen to take there when nobody else was around, so the others had gone out to smoke or to the toilet etc, just weird considering I’ve barely said more than hello to him!

Message her with a link

Hi WOMAN NAME. I have seen a review left in your husbands name of when we went to NAME’S PARTY. All the photos are of me and I was unaware at the time my photo was being taken and I am shocked and annoyed to see they have been used in a google review.

Please can you tell him to remove the photos as I do not give permission for my image to be used and I am annoyed that my photo was taken without my knowledge or permission. Thank you.

That message conveys your displeasure but doesn’t accuse him of being a creep, that’s up to her to decide.

sonjadog · 04/06/2019 16:47

Yep, I´d do that. He´ll have a harder time explaining it to his wife than you.

Soola · 04/06/2019 17:42

He may want to instigate your contacting him which is why it’s better to talk to his wife.

Then his wife can’t accuse you and her husband of talking behind her back.

SparklyMagpie · 04/06/2019 17:53

How did your brother come across the reviews and photos? Does he know the guy?

FizzyGreenWater · 04/06/2019 18:17

Definitely go right over his head and speak to his wife.

SoConfused2019 · 04/06/2019 18:35

Sparkly magpie no he doesn’t, he was looking for a venue in the local area and the function room came up for this pub which is how he came about seeing them.

Right I’m emailing the wife now 🤦🏻‍♀️

Nikhedonia · 04/06/2019 18:38

Yuk! Super creepy. I would not like that at all.

SparklyMagpie · 04/06/2019 18:41

Ahh that makes sense :)

I'd email the wife also

Good luck OP

FilledSoda · 04/06/2019 18:50

His wife must be aware of it , I wonder what she thinks

Soola · 04/06/2019 18:58

@FilledSoda

She might not know. But she will now! Grin

ohtheholidays · 04/06/2019 19:00

That's very weird and really creepy behaviour!

Good luck with the wife I hope she's on your side and rips him a new one.

CustardD123 · 04/06/2019 19:03

Very odd.. especially one where he's intentionally cropped your son out.

Yea definitely try reporting them - technically you have a right to as they are pictures of you taken WITHOUT permission and uploaded WITHOUT permission (& by someone you barely know!)

blushmelikeyou · 04/06/2019 19:18

I'd of just contacted google and asked for them to be taken down.

ohfourfoxache · 04/06/2019 19:22

Urgh, I’d be reading creeped out by this

ohfourfoxache · 04/06/2019 19:22

*really

Soola · 04/06/2019 19:24

@blushmelikeyou

His actions need to be addressed or he might do it again to someone else.

LoafofSellotape · 04/06/2019 19:24

I agree with telling his wife.
