Are there any conspiracy theories that you just think could have an element of truth?

I love all things conspiracy theory - from a psychological/social point of view it's interesting to see what makes people fearful or pessimistic.

But I often do see some conspiracy theories a bit like Urban legends in that they could be an exaggerated truth.

Are there any conspiracy theories or rumours that you just think 'maybe...' or even ones you're completely sold on.

hopes nobody thinks the Queen is a metamorphic lizard alien

Ok, I’m coming round to the Peaches story now.

I think regarding who can’t be named. It’s because he’s very litigious. Also the fans are hardcore and don’t want to think he could be anything other than a straight man.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/05/2019 16:38

Anyone who watched films knew about the dark web yonks ago.

Firstimpressionsofearth · 22/05/2019 16:57

Peaches also blabbed about Ian Watkins co accused I think. Which apparently led "the ring" to think she had form for blabbing.

I did think it was strange someone who shouted so loud about what a great mum she was would take a massive dose of heroine while she was alone with her kid.

I thought it was open now that he who must not be named was gay. Doesn't he live with another man?

Boysey45 · 22/05/2019 17:03

He lives with his manager doesn't he?He cant possibly be passing himself off as a straight man?
It will come out after his death like with Savile, I know it will.

scaredofthecity · 22/05/2019 17:10

But with Peaches, she had apparently been going to NA for years and was even on methadone when pregnant.

Both her dad and husband said part of them wasn't surprised.

She even looked like an addict, she lost a huge amount of weight.

I found her death really upsetting at the time so have followed it quite closely. I really think it was a tragic accident.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 22/05/2019 17:15

It’s not all that uncommon for an (recovering) addict to overdose.

Sagradafamiliar · 22/05/2019 17:17

How come they haven't been bumped off if they have all this information on so many powerful people though?

Firstimpressionsofearth · 22/05/2019 17:18

I'm not convinced by mj's death either.

We're led to believe that he was out of his mind on strong sedatives and pain killers. But how was he performing and dancing! He didn't look like a junky in that film. Even if he was only taking drugs at night he'd still be a mess the next day.

I think he knew his crimes would catch up with him and so faked it. He's probably on that pedo island.

Firstimpressionsofearth · 22/05/2019 17:19

Caz they're all mates

Coniferhedge · 22/05/2019 17:28

Where Peaches Geldof is concerned, isn’t it very similar to how her Mum died though? IIRC, I’m sure it was said at Paula Yates’ inquest that the amount found in her system wouldn’t have killed an addict, but Paula was in recovery from addiction, had a relapse and that’s how she died. Same thing happened to Peaches.

Ohnotanothernamechange · 22/05/2019 17:30

Peaches died of a heroin overdose. She was quite obviously an addict. You only have to look at photos of her in the time leading up to her death to see that. She had that emaciated, gaunt look that her heroin users usually have.

She was a lose Cannon, I'll give you that. But I don't believe anyone else killed her.

RomanyQueen1 · 22/05/2019 17:34

I wonder with the one we can't name why nobody is coming forward, is it like Saville where they are warned off or scared.

NotDavidTennant · 22/05/2019 17:47

These threads wind me up. All this "he who can't be named" nonsense, like you're in on some forbidden knowledge. You can perfectly well post the name Cliff Richard on here. You just can't post libelous claims about him.

Sagradafamiliar · 22/05/2019 17:52

Most people don't want to be taken to court for libel.

Firstimpressionsofearth · 22/05/2019 17:58

NOOOOOOOOO!

HE CAN NOT BE NAMED. The whole wizarding world will be under threat now.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/05/2019 18:09

Threads like these have a tendency to go poof once that name is out there.

kenandbarbie · 22/05/2019 18:11

Just delete the posts not the thread Shock

DobbyTheHouseElk · 22/05/2019 18:15

I don’t think anything needs to be deleted.

anonymousobserver · 22/05/2019 19:07

John Lennon was not killed by the US government.

He was ill at the end - half-starved, drug-addled, obsessed with having more money and more public acclaim than McCartney. His life with Ono was a complete sham - a conceptual art piece for public consumption.

He knew he was going to get shot. The government didn't do it.

BishopBrennansArse · 22/05/2019 19:10

I'm more minded to think MJ was killed by a doctor paid by someone to make sure he died - he was in huge debt and worth more dead than alive.

DarlingNikita · 22/05/2019 19:24

He knew he was going to get shot

How?

IceIceCoffee · 22/05/2019 19:25

Mine is relatively mundane but I find the idea that some mattress stores in America are laundering money interesting. They are relatively close together some of them on the same street. I wouldn't say it was out of the realm of possibility.

ObvsItsNotMe · 22/05/2019 19:37

I very much doubt John Lennon knew he was going to be shot. Doubt the government shot him either. Now if you had said that about JFK..

anonymousobserver · 22/05/2019 19:40

He told his recording engineer as he left the studio that he wouldn't be seeing him again.

He knew. As to how - that's a rabbit hole that few people want to go down.

Firstimpressionsofearth · 22/05/2019 19:45

@IceIceCoffee

I've heard that too. It's probably true. Apparently it's called money laundering because launderettes were used.
