Who do you think has aged well, and who hasn't? (just lighthearted thread)

Just watching This Morning and Max Beesley is on there. Oh my, did I used to fancy him but blimey AFAIC he has not aged well. He just looks like some boring middle aged NDN now.

Daniel Day Lewis. Gorgeous then, gorgeous now

Jeff Goldblum. Handsome then and now.

Katie Price. Was so attractive when she started out. Not now

Russell Crowe. He had something about him Now just a jowly middle aged man.

Emma Thompson. Had no work done and looks far better now than she used to

My DH. I think he's more handsome than he used to be, he's grown into his grey hair and wrinkles, whereas I just look like a grey haired old woman Grin

TalkinPaece i couldnt agree with you more. Yoga, inner glow, au naturel works for me. There's plenty of criticism on here for BOTOX & artificial looking ageing. Health & vitality are much more important than some manufactured version of 'youth'. Its utter bollocks really.

Yup, but the "Brow 11" is not there ...
so she has botoxed
Interestingly I just looked up Michael Palin - he has the single line up through his brows
but every adult has it after 50
due to facial musculature
so if its missing, they have done botox

It’s very hard to tear yourself away from the eyes though.

To be fair I fell in love with him as a 12 year old watching MSCL so I may be biased. And apparently he is an absolute piece of shit.
He’s bloody beautiful though.

I have to say both looked fabulous. Nigella is sort of ethereal. Twiggy looked very normal. No idea about work

Susanna Hoffs from the Bangles is 60 and still looks amazing,.she has great genes, wish I was that lucky!

Surely whether those vertical lines are present depends on how you’re moving your forehead. I’m younger but if I raise my eyebrows like this there are no lines in the middle - they are only there if I lower them.

Regardless, she’s awesome, she can still move her face (a crucial thing some actresses forget) and is bloody brave.

l'm 60, and l don't have the 'between brows 11" or any forehead lines besides a bit of creping. A nurse once asked me if l'd had botox, and l don't think she believed me when l said now.
But.... l'm carrying a couple of extra stone of weight. And you don't get wrinkles on a balloon. l'm great from the nose up, l have laugh lines round my eyes, but really pretty good for my age. From there down, though, l have marionette lines and the start of a turkey neck.
l think how you age is partly genetics, partly lifestyle, and partly how you look after your skin.

l've looked after my skin since l was 13 and it shows, compared to my mother's. Hers was lovely and clear, but she had a lot more wrinkles than me. She only ever used soap and water and only started using moisturiser in her 60s.

I wouldn’t say Jarod has massive wrinkles between his eyebrows and therefore looks old. He looks good and is frowning in the sun.

My mum is 68 and doesn’t have the 11’s, mine are worse than hers. Some people aren’t frowny. Though I do believe sagging in the face is far more ageing than a few lines in the forehead.

Why would he have Botox? He’s bloody gorgeous and so many men look best in their 40s. Let’s see what happens in five to ten years - remember when Johnny Depp was an amazing looking 40 year old? 😂

I'm mid sixties and don't have forehead lines. However, below the eyes is a bit tricky, especially if I don't sleep well. However, bottom line is, I don't feel old, and I moisturise continually, agree with you katseye, moisturise moisturise moisturise. If anyone on here looked at me you'd probably think I look ancient, but I really don't feel wrinkled and old!
