Just watching This Morning and Max Beesley is on there. Oh my, did I used to fancy him but blimey AFAIC he has not aged well. He just looks like some boring middle aged NDN now.

Daniel Day Lewis. Gorgeous then, gorgeous now

Jeff Goldblum. Handsome then and now.

Katie Price. Was so attractive when she started out. Not now

Russell Crowe. He had something about him Now just a jowly middle aged man.

Emma Thompson. Had no work done and looks far better now than she used to

My DH. I think he's more handsome than he used to be, he's grown into his grey hair and wrinkles, whereas I just look like a grey haired old woman Grin

A few years ago Kylie claimed Ponds Cold Cream was the secret to her youthful/botoxed to buggery face too. And sure enough it disappeared from the shelves as fast as people could buy it!

JaneJeffer · 27/04/2019 22:02

I don't think ageing is all about looking unwrinkled. It's more about joie de vivre to me.

JaneJeffer · 27/04/2019 22:02

Ageing well that is.

Roussette · 27/04/2019 22:02

Kylie's face has changed so much. I think she's brill, but let's not pretend she hasn't had a lot done.

but it scares me that people see stuff like this and think they haven’t had a ton of work done.

Oh dear. Fret ye not, I have quite a keen eye for aesthetic 'enhancement'. Not every woman in her mid fifties naturally has a face like a collapsed jelly.

Roussette · 27/04/2019 22:03

Absolutely JJ I said this on another thread about ageing. It's deffo about joie de vivre.

Whizzler
I just picked this clip at random

TOTAL botox around the corners of here eyes, corners of her mouth and between her eyebrows. The whole side of her neck is still. The skin is utterly paralysed.
Roussette · 27/04/2019 22:04

I probably have a face like a dropped pie!

But I don't care. I'm comfortable in myself.

I'm absolutely terrible at spotting who has had Botox, if it has been done well. In my head I know they must have had help, because how can you be in your mid 50s and look like you are 35, but I'm just terrible at actually looking at someone and seeing where they have had help, unless it is really obvious.

So I can't see it on someone like Cate Blanchett or Salma Hayek, but it's very obvious to me on Nicole Kidman, since her face doesn't move.

katseyes7 · 27/04/2019 22:08

Selina Scott. l saw her a while ago on one of the Real Marigold Hotel series, and she looks wonderful.

Whizzler · 27/04/2019 22:09

Fair enough, she does have some botox in that clip. I certainly wouldn't say she looks paralysed though! And her features are the same features she's always had. So I stick with my claim of minimal work.

Love how honest she is with the 'I was fired' comment though. You don't normally get that from Hollywood types!

Dowser · 28/04/2019 10:28

I think if you can just remove that tired look yet still remains in the realm of normal.
Which goes back to carol McGiffen admitting to having work done.
Yet I still felt on last weeks episode that she didn’t look much different...she still looked a bit tired...but then who wouldn’t after what she’s been through.

We are all subjected to so much stress these days...it’s bound to show in our faces.

Dieu · 28/04/2019 15:28

The best example of ageing well? I give you Naomi Campbell.

JaneJeffer · 28/04/2019 16:04

Naomi used to look great but now she looks like she has loads of fillers.

FiremanKing · 28/04/2019 16:09

Naomi wears wigs and weaves which give a youthful appearance. She is blessed with wonderful bone structure though.

FiremanKing · 28/04/2019 16:12

Lulu is a strange one because it’s clear she’s had loads done but she still manages to look great.

Delatron · 28/04/2019 17:42

I think fair, freckled skin (like mine) ages the worst unfortunately.

T1nah · 28/04/2019 18:21

Richard Gere (69) is looking good in a BBC drama I'm watching. He's not put on weight and suits his hair white. He's recently become a dad which is ridiculous.

FiremanKing · 28/04/2019 18:24

Sheila Ferguson of The Three Degrees looks fabulous.

lemmein · 28/04/2019 23:27

Orla Brady - 58 years old. Witchcraft! Envy

Who do you think has aged well, and who hasn't? (just lighthearted thread)
Lardlizard · 28/04/2019 23:31

Who hasn’t ? Price William Kate Middleton
Katie price

Who has ? Helen m

Dowser · 29/04/2019 00:25

Prince William had such promise to age well as a teenager
I think Kate Middleton looks very elegant. She has lovely legs and figure and those coat dresses really set it off but looking at her I can’t believe she’s younger than my daughter who doesn’t look 42
I also think Meghan looks older than 37

Dowser · 29/04/2019 00:29

Amanda Holden has aged so well I’ll have w pint of whatever she’s had 😂

Delatron · 29/04/2019 06:57

Wow yes to Orla Brady.

Amanda Holden has gone far too far with the botox.

Roussette · 29/04/2019 07:51

I do put Kate Middleton down to the dire clothes she has to, or chooses to wear when being Duchess of whatever. Yes, so dated.

Amanda Holden? OMG no. She has sausage lips and does not look remotely like she did 15 years ago.
