Just watching This Morning and Max Beesley is on there. Oh my, did I used to fancy him but blimey AFAIC he has not aged well. He just looks like some boring middle aged NDN now.

Daniel Day Lewis. Gorgeous then, gorgeous now

Jeff Goldblum. Handsome then and now.

Katie Price. Was so attractive when she started out. Not now

Russell Crowe. He had something about him Now just a jowly middle aged man.

Emma Thompson. Had no work done and looks far better now than she used to

My DH. I think he's more handsome than he used to be, he's grown into his grey hair and wrinkles, whereas I just look like a grey haired old woman Grin

If you'd only mentioned the people who look wonderful, I wouldn't have had a problem would I?

How the heck I'm bullying I don't know.

How predictable. I've never known one to admit it.

Why didn't you only do a thread about how wonderfully some people have aged?

It would have been lovely and not spiteful in the slightest.

But you felt the need to add it in. Only you know why.

Roussette · 26/04/2019 18:02

Halle Berry, she looks great. Bruce Willis. Prefer him without hair, he looks good
Jodie Foster. Wish I looked like her. She's never had any work done and is proud of that. Great woman.

Gary Lineker. He has not only aged well but somehow managed to be far hotter than he was in his youth.

Roussette · 26/04/2019 18:06

Oh do give over Lisbon. Who am I bullying?? That's a daft assertion.

Markle and he's really kept his physique too.

My DS and I were just discussing this yesterday after seeing Endgame.
We can't believe how well Paul Rudd who is in his 50s has aged, DS said he looks like he's in his 30s. Where as the equally lovely Mark Rufford, similar age, has aged more normally. I like a distinguished looking man and both are handsome. I wonder how it'd feel to be married to and be younger than a partner, who looked almost 20 years younger than you!

InTheHeatofLisbon · 26/04/2019 18:08

You're right, of course putting people down for the way they look isn't bullying. How silly of me, I've changed my entire thought process and opinion based on one angry and defensive poster on MN.

Said nobody, ever.

Reasonstobeearful · 26/04/2019 18:09

Are you still here?

MockerstheFeManist · 26/04/2019 18:10

Two heroes of my youth:

Paul Weller - superb at 60

Robert Smith - Oh dear

BGD2012 · 26/04/2019 18:11

I think Christy Turlington has aged naturally and looks good. I don't know how old Tom Cruise is but he also looks good.

Roussette · 26/04/2019 18:11

To bully is to intimidate someone who is possibly vulnerable. I think you've got the wrong word there. I'm not angry at all. I'm perplexed, yes. But angry, no of course not.

Only when you ask a question of me.

Since we've apparently abandoned being critical of appearance and only seem to be doing nice ones now:

I agree about Helen Mirren.
Gabriel Byrne and Jeremy Irons both look very rugged and handsome.
Jamie Lee Curtis, especially when she did the non photo shopped photo shoot to show young women that altered images aren't real.

bibbitybobbityyhat · 26/04/2019 18:12

I always have to say Joan Bakewell on any thread about ageing.

She is my absolute idol as far as that's concerned.

Roussette · 26/04/2019 18:12

Christy Turlington is just gorgeous. Always has been, always will be. Paul Weller in some way just hasn't changed! Cool dude

Your policing of this thread has worked then Lisbon. Well done!

I reckon the ones who have aged well have had work done.
George Clooney admits he had had his eyebags removed years ago.
Apart from Paul Rudd who is obviously immortal.

bellinisurge · 26/04/2019 18:15

I've aged brilliantly. As did my mum. My sister has aged well too.

Cocolapew · 26/04/2019 18:16

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE FAMOUS BEESLEY BOTTOM?! That's what I want to know. 🍑

WillLokireturn · 26/04/2019 18:17

Gosh, I didn't take OP's post negatively at all. It's nice that some celebrities, even with all their resources, age normally. And how some just have amazing genes. I far prefer to watch actors (m & f) who don't have plastic surgery done that changes their ability to show emotions. I like that about British & other cinema more than Hollywood in general, for older actors.

Faffandahalf · 26/04/2019 18:18

Think you should have posted this if sleb twaddle thread OP. You will get torn to pieces here (well you already are).

We must never ever have any personal
Opinion on any celebrity any more even though MN have a while
Topic area for it.

Anyway. Brendan Fraser (The Mummy) was just such a beautiful man in his youth. Now he’s aged. Just like me. Totally normal of course but his face is all weirdly puffy for someone who’s only 50.

Roussette · 26/04/2019 18:18

My older sister has aged far far better than me. She looks really fantastic. not jealous me, oh no

😂
@Cocolapew. We were wondering that too!

Faffandahalf · 26/04/2019 18:20

Paul Rudd is immortal. The man is 50!! I’ve loved him since Clueless. Compare him to Brendan Fraser lol.
Is that too mean?
