Ooo yes! Bound to be a secret passage leading to a sex dungeon!

RomanyQueen1 · 22/02/2019 13:06

The victorian Safe, what happened there, I missed the ending.
I saw one of these on a youtube old house clip.
They found lots of stashed old money, well out of date notes and they became really rich.

You do realise you will be murdered or something? Run downstairs and leave the house forever (vivid memories of a film with someone hiding in walls and loft - left me scarred)

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 22/02/2019 13:19

Some friends bought a small place in France. We stayed there a night and they found a secret room.. in the attic.. It had been a priests house, so we found a pile of really massive candles ( like about 3 feet long) with big embellishments stuck to it and quite a lot of bottles of Wine ( sadly empty, there must have been a lot of communion going on) and an iron chest with mothy but very fancy white embossed embroidery sort of white tray cloths. And some old paperwork. It was fascinating. Can't wait to hear whats in yours!

Grabs more popcorn Finds a cosy corner to settle in...

endev · 22/02/2019 13:19

It's a big old house but the previous owners converted the loft so not going to find anything old, it's not been boarded up for that long, there's building rubble in there.
Think they've just boarded up the roof void way before I would have.
It drops down about a meter and then there's about 2 metres of space, but then there's another drop and about a metre which would probably be unusable
Would be masses of storage space
Or a fantastic kids play area, all different levels

I had a few roof tiles fixed and I was looking out of the top velux and figured that the roof shape wasn't adding up and that there was a big dormer on the front that looked like there should be more floor space
It's the one room I haven't done anything with it

So no pirate treasure? Sad

WhatTheNightBrings · 22/02/2019 13:25

Aye.

SpiritedLondon · 22/02/2019 13:26

This is the stuff of dreams. In my version there will be an old trunk full of beautiful clothes or perhaps a wedding dress... maybe war time medals ... However in reality I’m sure it will just be off cuts of old carpet and a Woman’s Weekly magazine from 1976

SpiritedLondon · 22/02/2019 13:28

Cross post 🙄

DuckbilledSplatterPuff · 22/02/2019 13:28

Ah. Mags from 1976 !

KumquatQuince · 22/02/2019 13:29

This happened to our friends. They bought a house that had been a rental and was full of crap. When it got cleared out they went up in the loft and found a full loft conversion! They got a bargain with that house!

chocolateworshipper · 22/02/2019 13:34

Amoregentlemanlikemanner · 22/02/2019 13:34

"Its been over 20 minutes.
She's clearly dead. Whatever was in there has got her, wrapped her up in its web and digested her.
Everyone move on, nothing to see here."

Tawdrylocalbrouhaha · 22/02/2019 13:38

It takes ages to digest a human. Theres time for her to send an update before she starts to dissolve.
