Why is he so obnoxious? I have a real irrational dislike of him. Am I unreasonable?!?

I will always remember Aliona's ill-disguised momentary look of disgust when he was announced as her partner on Strictly. I don't like her much either but she didn't deserve him.

SuperDuperJezebel · 22/12/2018 20:12

I saw him once, at the Ideal Home Show, he was so so so disgustingly sweaty. Boak. Also heard that about the coke habit.

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 22/12/2018 20:25

If it's true that someone at the BBC keeps him on because they think he adds value to Masterchef then they need reprogramming (pun!) or firing.

It's actually ridiculous that they employ someone as a judge when they have such a biased palate.

PeggySueOooOo · 22/12/2018 21:18

I cant stand the way he talks to teenage girls on eat well for less. I have loved masterchef for years and never had an issue with him. But on eat well for less he doesn't even attempt to hide the misogyny. I cant stand him now.

Stickmanslittleleaf · 22/12/2018 21:22

I saw him in Tesco once a few years ago, he was shouting at some children that I assume were his. Not telling them off, just shouting instead of speaking.

CocoDeMoll · 22/12/2018 21:34

I haven’t got further than ‘pleb comforter’ and his dirty hotel night with all the puddings 😂

My baby has now been woken by my silent shaking type laughter!!

LEMtheoriginal · 22/12/2018 22:15

Stickman i wonder if you are in the south east Grin

Cattenberg · 22/12/2018 22:31

Yesterday, I watched a programme about Chester Zoo which included mating tortoises. The male tortoise was gurning dramatically with his mouth wide open.

GodrestyemerrySchadenfreud · 22/12/2018 22:31

It wasn't Greggggg's fault he did poorly on Strictly - it was Aliona's because she didn't lie him

Cattenberg · 22/12/2018 22:32

Sorry, wrong thread

Are you sure? It might have been GregG and that was his pudding face...

BasiliskStare · 22/12/2018 22:40

Cattenberg Ha ha

Perfect for this thread.

Skatersbeskating · 22/12/2018 23:01

Cattenberg

I needed a belly laugh Xmas Grin

nickiredcar · 22/12/2018 23:11

He's terrible. I resent the BBC pushing him onto us.

I watch that show with thick people spending stupid amounts on food inspite of him.

looktothewesternsky · 22/12/2018 23:14

Just checking in to say you're all just fantastic Wine

Stop right there...I will not tolerate this...this....this cruelty

What have tortoises ever done to offend you?

Stickmanslittleleaf · 22/12/2018 23:26

LEM we are, we live in London but bumped into GregG in Tesco near Canterbury. I wish I'd looked in his trolley now, I bet there were loads of microwave meals!

BasiliskStare · 22/12/2018 23:30

I bet your average tortoise knows as much about salad / lettuce as the costermonger as well & but for not having the right vocal chords could give a more nuanced opinion on national tv

GodrestyemerrySchadenfreud · 23/12/2018 08:34

Has a bloody sight more charm and effervescence, too!

LEMtheoriginal · 23/12/2018 08:37

Stickman or it may have been my cousin who is his double. Me and Dp always say "bobs on the telly" have also spotted GregG in a local cafe as well. I wonder if he got extra cake?

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 23/12/2018 09:36

Did someone say tortoise?

Gregg Wallace
OComeHalsallYeFaithful · 23/12/2018 09:37

This is my tortoise. He's a deeply sensitive soul with a finely-developed palate (favourite dish: lettuce three ways) and is now distraught at being compared to the gurning grocer.

Gregg Wallace
OComeHalsallYeFaithful · 23/12/2018 09:39

Bloody hell, cat, mine's a bit smaller than yours! insert Gregggg- based joke of choice here Xmas GrinXmas Grin

Cleo18 · 23/12/2018 09:49

Did anyone see him on The CelebrityChase? He was asked what another name for a girolle was; and he didn't know.

I wouldn't expect everyone to know but he is supposed to be an expert in these things. (Chanterelle - common name)

I agree he ruins Masterchef - his innane comments and shouting and patronising, sexist comments add nothing.
