Also, and I know this is a horrible thing to say, but with all that time with the camera pointing at his mouth, you’d think he might have sorted out his bloody teeth

I got a Facebook messenger message recently inviting me to go on that 'eat for less' whatever it's called program (I think because I'm on vegan fit Facebook pages). That'll be a 'no' then!

That programme is a guilty pleasure for me. I enjoy shouting 'no one needs 45 packets of crisps' at the people doing their shopping, and then laughing at them when they are adamant that their tea bags have been swapped for cheaper ones but they're actually the same ones.

My husband adds to the fun by saying 'ooh, I bet you wish GregG would appear in our kitchen' because he knows how much he repulses me.

I always think he looks like one of the faces in that "guess who" game.

I know people who’ve had the misfortune to encounter him as a customer. He is indeed a very obnoxious and nasty little man, and they were glad to be rid of him.

I remember the late, great Sir Terry calling him The Costermonger when he discussed MasterChef on his radio show. A brilliant put down.

Awful presenter. I quite like that inside factory prog but he bloody ruins it with his ridiculous attempt at chat and jokes. It's so hard to watch.

But I was so obsessed with how quality street are made I had to put up with him. Cannot believe he has so much air time on mainstream tv.

And whilst we're at it - the Factory at Christmas: for someone who claims to work in the food industry, can he really be so dim about how things are made?

Apparently he connects with the mass market and makes MC seem less foodie and snobby so as to appeal to a larger market.

I stopped watching MasterChef, despite my Marcus Waring crush, because I couldn't watching Gregg anymore. I wish they would replace him.
