Is there a follow on thread for how Keyra is getting on with the builders???

Oh poor cb - you've all jumped ship!

Would it sway opinion if I told you I came home just now and he offered to make me tea even though he wasn't having one himself?

Probably shouldn't tell you all that cg took himself round to formerly lovely neighbours earlier to tell them that the planning officer is coming round tomorrow. They're still angry so he spent some time trying to pacify them. I did think that was very kind of him and above and beyond the call of his duty as cg.

Depending on planning officer's opinion tomorrow the extension may have to be rebuilt . All down to architect making a mistake. Fingers crossed it won't come to that. Any casting suggestions for ra (rubbish architect) as the archetypal baddie will be carefully considered.

And also making an appearance tomorrow should be tp. Could be a day of high action!

Despite CG's best efforts I think I'm still team CB.

I hope for your sake that the extension doesn't have to be rebuilt, even though that would mean more time spent with the seemingly lovely building team.

CG sounds truly awesome. However, I am still in Team CB, if that makes you feel better Keyra because the heart wants what the heart wants, and there's not much to be done about it!

Tp is here. The dog doesn't like him. He's using a tower not stilts. The stilts are here though.

Cb and I had a bit of a tussle over the tea making:

Me: Do you want tea?
Cb: Yes, I'll make it.
Me: No it's fine, I'll do it.

Cb won.
Teeth are out.

Here's tp in action up on his platform. It's not a great pic - I've been hanging around all morning for covert photo shoot opportunities and getting strange looks into the bargain. I think cb may have seen me take it too - if so, hope he doesn't think it's because I fancy tp :(.

Ariela that's so nice of you to say that! If I find myself bankrupted after all this building work (highly likely) I may have to give it a try!

He's on a platform/scaffold thing at the minute wannabe. Or he was. I'm a bit hesitant to go in there at the minute - he's not terrifically friendly (prob suspicious of my loitering this morning). But I have asked cg to let me know when the stilts are strapped on.

Keyra, it hasn't progressed as they've not been back for a couple of weeks. Something about a glass delivery and it isn't really the best weather for outside work at the moment.

I've managed to get more work done without them across the road so I guess it isn't all bad.

I really hope TP straps those stilts on, mumsnet will go into meltdown if you get another photo!

At the risk of sounding as though I'm obsessed with TP's stilts (and his possible weekend off-the-books stiltwalking activities), I expect he'll only use those if he does a horizontal bit of ceiling - the pitch he's doing at the moment might be tricky to do on stilts. So disappointed...
