Is there a follow on thread for how Keyra is getting on with the builders???

OP posts:
lazymare · 25/11/2018 08:14

Keyra - just give us the nod and we will be there 😂

Keyra · 25/11/2018 13:12

Tp now coming Wednesday . Be worth waiting for though I hope as he will be bringing his stilts.

BurningTheToast · 25/11/2018 14:44

Whenever I see plasterers using stilts I always wonder whether they moonlight as children's party entertainers at the weekend. Perhaps you could ask TP? Assuming he turns up as arranged!

Also, I'm another person wondering whether you should give CG a chance? He has excellent taste in flowers and all his own teeth as, although I'm only speaking from personal tastes, I think that's a good point.

TillyVonMilly · 25/11/2018 19:15

Keyra your posts always make me smile Smile
CG sounds nice and kind, CB could just be a bit shy
I’m looking forward to more updates and rooting for you Grin

Keyra · 25/11/2018 22:21

Toast if tp actually shows - not only will I ask him about his weekend stilt usage, I will try and get a surreptitious pic!

Thank you Tilly :)

Cg has texted today to say he wants to get the back off my washing machine tomorrow. That's not an offer I get every day!

WhyAmISoCold · 26/11/2018 08:03

Glad we have some updates 😁.

Keyra · 26/11/2018 10:13

Well the week has got off to a flying start. Almost literally. I fell onto cb this morning as we were both crouched in front of my washing machine. I'm leaving home forever. The dc won't mind Blush

Pennina · 26/11/2018 10:34

Oh my goodness- did you linger a bit?! Did he put a steadying arm around you?! Oh I feel a bit flushed!

Keyra · 26/11/2018 13:27

I sort of slowly toppled sideways. I'd already killed any potential mystique (Mystique? Pah, who am I kidding?) by telling him my eyes were too bad to read the serial number on the washing machine door. So we were side by side, him saying the number out loud, me putting it into my phone. I could feel myself going but couldn't stop. He pushed me upright again with a "Steady. You ok?".

And now I think I've just made the man in Halfords think I'm a stalker. I'm cancelling this week.

Alienspaceship · 26/11/2018 13:35

‘Steady. You ok?’ He’s not Shakespeare is he? Grin

Keyra · 26/11/2018 13:39

No he's the strong silent type for sure. I need to go home now - wish me luck.

BlueBrush · 26/11/2018 19:44

He pushed me upright again with a "Steady. You ok?"

But this is at least physical contact, no?! And he said something to you as well? I think you're making great strides!

I love your random falling over. This is exactly the sort of thing I would do (or probably have done but wiped it from my memory)

Keyra · 26/11/2018 20:41

It's actually the second time we've had physical contact Blue (Get me!). The first time was when I'd spotted the man with the spear at the end of the drive. Cb happened to walk past the door to the front room (from where I was spying on spear man). I grabbed his arm and said "Come and look at this". Then I realised what I'd done and who I'd done it to, and let go in a hurry!

I've learnt this afternoon that cb no longer lives in walking distance. I'm choosing to believe that his removal to distant parts (well, about 3 miles away) bears no relation to me and my ineptitude ...

wheresthehope · 26/11/2018 20:51

I am soooooo glad I found you again!!

MotherOfDragonite · 26/11/2018 23:28

Delighted to have found these threads... I read through them all and want to know what happens next! I'm rooting for CG because he sends flowers...

MixedMaritalArts · 27/11/2018 00:26

What ails your washing machine, my mate once called someone to fix hers : he delightedly handed her a job lot of bra underwires - she swears she had no idea she had been walking around randomly ‘lopsided’ for months.

Keyra · 27/11/2018 10:33

This morning I feel like I can finally call myself a true and proper MNetter - I have been privileged to witness (well, not actually witness) a tradesman using my toilet for purposes other than weeing Shock.

Washing machine repair man is the guilty party (and he, predictably I suppose, can't repair the machine for another week). First I knew of this heinous behaviour was a text from cg informing me that neither he nor cb were responsible for the godawful smell, and I wasn't to worry as he'd been in there afterwards with the bleach and air freshener. I think this selfless act may have gained him even more ground than the flowers.

Cb has also gained ground this morning though by informing us his mother felt ill last night so he went round and stayed with her to keep an eye on her. Can't fault a man who looks after his mother ...

Washing machine man, on his way out, commented on what a handsome pair of builders I had in, and how he'd seen a lot worse. Cg made some retort about how they charged extra for being good looking. Cb looked puzzled.

Pennina · 27/11/2018 11:13

You must marry CG! Anyone that cleans up after a third-party inconsiderate shitter is on a pedestal as far as I'm concerned. I love that CG didn't want you to think it was them!

Sounds like you might have competition if ISWR (inconsiderate shifting washing machine repair man) thinks the chaps are good looking!!

MeMeMeow85 · 27/11/2018 11:33

Hahaha love CG making sure you knew the stink wasn’t them and tidying up!! That’s really sweet ❤️

purple8pig · 27/11/2018 12:31

Oh keyra I think you're just going to have to marry them both! X

HippoLatte · 27/11/2018 12:39

Oh God, I wasn't in team CG til I read the great lengths he has gone to in the toilet for you. CB might be a lost cause, go for CG, he sounds really lovely.

I was going to say bite the bullet and ask CB out for a drink, just the two of you but then that will break CGs heart and he is just so lovely!

Pennina · 27/11/2018 13:10

Has Tiny Plasterer rocked up yet (with stilts)?

Alienspaceship · 27/11/2018 15:04

I never thought this day would come. I’m with team CG.

TitsNnails · 27/11/2018 16:20

Can you just have a 3 some and get it over with?! Grin

TillyVonMilly · 27/11/2018 16:29

More smarties points for CG Grin
