Have you ever gone off a celebrity because of something they've done?

I used to really like Ewan McGregor until he had an affair.

Same with Robson Green in the 90s.

I loved Michael Moriarty (still do) but he's become a huge loony and an old soak.

Liked Ant McPartlin before the drink driving and infidelity.

Have you ever liked a celeb and then gone off them because of something they've said or done? Does it just prove that celebs are human like the rest of us?

Disgusting man. I had no idea. (Tom Jones)

SchadenfreudePersonified · 22/11/2018 07:10

spent a lot of time with all the royals. Apparently all of them are lovely except Andrew who treated everyone like they were scum.

He has a reputation for it, I've heard (and read on here, too). Apparently the staff nickname for him is "cunt"

VanillaSugary · 22/11/2018 07:17

That's because he's not .....

Elderflower14 · 22/11/2018 07:34

Jimmy Carr for making jokes about deaf children.
Frankie Boyle for his joke about Katie Price's son.
Ryan Giggs, John Terry and Wayne Rooney for their exploits off the football âš½ pitch....

Deathraystare · 22/11/2018 08:34

Hurrah for Jay.

Yes I agree. I liked reading about him getting his student son ready for uni with a few recipes!

Sadly a lot of our idols have fallen mightily (guess they are only human, though some are truly vile).

Sadly I can never play Rock n Roll part 2 any more. Damn you Glitter!

Agree with most of the comments here. Shocked about Walhberg.

Listened to Sylvia Syms on Radio 4 - rubbishing the whole me too thing and implying that as a 'nice lady' nothing bad ever happened to her until a male colleague reminded her how a director tried to drag her into his room until a male actor intervened - forgotten the name of the actor. He apparently held the director by his ankles over the stairwell and said "This is a lady and you don't treat her like that"

Deathraystare · 22/11/2018 08:37

Surprised people only cottoned on to Frank Skinner when his book came out.. I had heard a number of misogynistic things he said and also remembered what he said about Tara Parker Tomlinson - he went out with her!!!!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 22/11/2018 09:04

Oh yes John Terry, mainly because he kept parking in disabled bays in the local town because the fine was nothing to him. The fact that someone disabled might actually need that parking space passed him by. Twat.

SinisterBumFacedCat · 22/11/2018 09:06

Oh and Morrisey! For the UKIP love and just about everything else post Smiths. Annoying because I love The Smiths. Johnny Marr seems nice though.

Elderflower14 · 22/11/2018 09:27

@SinsterBumFacedCat I meant his sexual exploits but the disabled space thing is crap too. I once called a young guy out for doing that. We had a real humdinger. When I got back to the car my sister was hiding under the steering wheel!!! 😂 😂 😂 😂

SchadenfreudePersonified · 22/11/2018 12:37

Johnny Vegas was happily doing selfies and talking to people, giving autographs in the bar. He was wishing everybody happy holidays. You could see how much it meant to people.

A colleague of mine met him once in a hotel she was staying at for a convention. She said he was a lovely man - very friendly and down to earth.

VanillaSugary · 22/11/2018 12:45

Parking in a disabled bay must be a footballer thing. I know of another footballer who regularly used to park in the disabled spot at school. I think someone had a little word with him because he parks as far away from the door as he can now.

ShodAndShadySenators · 22/11/2018 12:49

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER I went off Clint Eastwood when I read that on set, he punched a horse on the nose because it was, and I quote, "lazy". Angry

Can't be doing with that sort of thing.

BoglingToAswad · 22/11/2018 12:50

Michel Roux Jnr, dp & I loved him on masterchef, until we found out the his restaurants kept the staff’s tips.

I have met him and can confirm he is a huge fucking bellend.

Cheesymonster · 22/11/2018 13:11

Kirk Douglas

Waydugo · 22/11/2018 13:25

Have gone off many a sleb after reading AGC Blinds. No smoke without fire and all that and many turn out to be true.
Always wondered about Nick Knowles - he’s doing a sterling job of the Mr Nice Guy act on IACGMOOH at the moment.
Worst ones for me are Morrissey - love The Smiths but what a twat he turned out to be and Scott Baio for being a Trump supporter and sex pest!! Confused

Kit Harington has gone down in my estimation due to recent news

kenandbarbie · 22/11/2018 15:35

So you believe everything someone says? It's someone claiming he cheated. Doesn't necessarily make it true.

NotYoonique · 22/11/2018 16:02

There are pictures of him. There is proof.

I have heard rumours of him cheating before but didn't think he was like that but there is photographic evidence.

Won't link to it as I don't want to get the thread pulled but its easy enough to find them

dontalltalkatonce · 22/11/2018 16:03

You do realise that photos can be manipulated in practically every way don't you?

Sheitgeist · 22/11/2018 16:18

What bothers me about the KH thing is that the woman who claims to have slept with him is doing this for money: she has sold naked pictures of him to the press, which is a grossest invasion of privacy imaginable.

That shows what sort of person she is, so I would give her much credence.

NotYoonique · 22/11/2018 16:53

Well obviously she is a piece of work but its hard to have sympathy for someone caught out cheating, I feel deeply sorry for Rose

dontalltalkatonce · 22/11/2018 17:11

He hasn't been caught out cheating, you've just chosen to believe someone who is cashing in on what might be entirely false claims.
