I'm pretty sure I was pregnant after getting married quicker than Meghan. And I wasn't pregnant on my wedding day!

So? Many couple try for a baby as soon as they marry.

Conceiving within a couple of cycles is normal for some people, shes37 so probably came off any hormonal birth control a while before the wedding to give herself the best chance.

Me and DP got pregnant first time trying after my miscarriage (felt like a bloody miracle). Amazingly you only need to have sex once to get pregnant! Lovely news for both of them. As someone who spent years trying to get pregnant and crying over negative tests, I'm glad it didn't take them long. Saves a lot of stress and heartache. Best of luck to the both of them.

I got pregnant straight away after stopping the pill and six months before we got married, it’s not that strange.

As a couple in their late thirties I’m sure they were keen to get the ball rolling if having a family was on their agenda. Not a surprise at all really, I was half expecting a pregnancy announcement from them in the near future.

I read recently that the decline in fertility of women over 35 has been somewhat misrepresented. Many women are still very fertile at 37, in fact I fell pregnant at 36 and was actually using contraception at the time too.

If she was 47 maybe that would be a bit weird.

OP why do you care so much? They're in a relationship, they had sex, she got pregnant. What is so unusual? Loads of women get pregnant quickly at 37. A friend of mine got pregnant at 41 first try. It's not THAT unusual. It's life.

I would guess if your 37 and you see more than 1 child in your future you don't have the luxury of waiting a year and then start trying. Individual fertility is such an unknown and so many factors to consider. They probably thought why wait, and were lucky to conceive quickly. Speculation of course as no one knows but they are also fortunate enough to not have any money issue or save for a mortgage first. They seem really happy and the baby will have some little royal cousins close in age.

It amazes me that people still find so much to talk about wrt a woman being pregnant. Women have been getting pregnant since the dawn of time. Can we stop being surprised by it yet?

I got pregnant on second cycle of trying at 41 ( twice ) and on first cycle ( not trying !) at 42.

I got pregnant first time every time, even in my late 30s, its not that unusual. Assuming they will want 2 or 3 best they don't wait. Does it really matter if she was pregnant before they even got married?

If this is about the age thing then tbh everything credible I have read on the subject suggests that people who struggle to conceive post-30 would have struggled anyway (even at a younger age).

The post-30 thing is based on very old statistics.
