Must have happened almost straight away

We started trying for a baby after getting married. I was pregnant two months afterwards.
Then a few years later when we decided for a second baby I was pregnant even quicker.
Sometimes it does happen quick. What's your point?

Who said I care so much, I’m pleased for them because I’m sure if she hadn’t if got pregnant quickly they would have been under enormous pressure

And simply suprised as a lot of people I know in RL haven’t been so lucky.

What a strange thread. Beyond wealthy woman in late 30s with infinite time to devote to her health and wellbeing, with access to unlimited healthcare, including private fertility specialists, gets pregnant soon after wedding. Not worth involving Sherlock.

Most people who come online to a forum to make a point about something so trivial and quite frankly odd usually do so because they care somewhat about the subject...

Good for her, she's 37 so the sooner the better if having a family is part of the plan.

I was 33 when I got pregnant with DS on my first cycle. I was 36 with DD and it happened on my second cycle. It happens.

I was also pregnant a few months after we got married. It's hardly unusual.

And she is nearly 10 years older than I was. They don't want to hang around too much, obviously.

I'm not even married yet and I'm pregnant 😆 I really don't hang around!!

One might even come to the shocking conclusion that she was already pregnant at her wedding, and their wedding night was not the first time they'd ever had sex.

I'm more amazed that she's 37.
I don't know why but I assumed late 20's or 30 at the most.
I'm hopeless with peoples ages!
I thought another lady was in her late 20's and she's mid 40's!!!
Thankfully I've never assumed anyone to be OLDER than they are (yet!).

I thought she was pregnant at their engagement, but the dates don't work out.

It's fairly normal, no? If she's about 3 months pg and been married 5 months, she got pg on about the second month of ttc. I don't think that's particularly unusual.
Even for her age, apparently the whole fertility goes off a cliff after 35 is a misreading of statistics anyway.
But it's a bit tasteless the way people keeping talking about all the details, there was a DM article which was basically trying to work out when she conceived, waaaaay TMI.
They got married, they had sex, she's pg, not a surprise really given they said they wanted a family sooner rather than later.

People don't tend to go on about how quickly they conceived because a) it might not be remarkable to them/there's not much to say about it or b) they are trying to be sensitive to those who find it more difficult

My friend's sister married at 40 and became pregnant almost straight away. She then had DS2 almost exactly two years later. Presumably as she knew she was getting a bit older they wanted to try for a baby very quickly. Almost certainly the same for Harry and Meghan....and even if she was pregnant before the wedding, why would that matter? Yes he's Royal and she's married a Royal, but it's 2018.... they, and Wills and Kate, and Eugenie and Whatsitbollocks, and probably all of Queen's other grandchildren have or will lived with their partner before marriage, showing change from a few decades ago....

They were married 5 months ago. She is likely around 12 weeks so will have got pregnant around 2 months after their wedding day, not thAt unusual

I do find it odd that there aren't more up-to-Date studies 're age and fertility
