Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

here's my latest, girls and...don't faint...there's pictures!! Grin

MmeL sorry to hear you're poorly. You know what my last 5 days have been like and it's not quite over yet!

FB I read that with interest as I've never been a breast feeding mum. But if I was, I think I'd be done by the time son was 2. But who knows? I am not rushing getting rid of his bottles so maybe I would still be breast feeding as well!

Hi amodmillymum and welcome! Off to have a look in a bit!

Shirley I can't believe you went through all that and then didn't like it! I'm sorry to hear about your loss. dammit!]

Tee2072 · 05/09/2011 14:45

That was suppose to be {{{hug dammit!}}} for Shirley.

Cheria · 05/09/2011 14:56

Amodmilly Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I read yours and tried to comment but couldn't work out where . What I was going to say is that it is great that your children will know where their meat is coming from - it is so much healthier for them than thinking it comes from plastic packets on the supermarket shelf.

Cheria · 05/09/2011 14:56

And thanks MmeLindor

FlamingoBingo · 05/09/2011 19:00

Thank you, Tee! I'm very flattered that you're reading my breastfeeding posts even though you're not a breastfeeder Smile

I thought all you formula feeders were angry banshees! Grin

Cheria · 05/09/2011 19:04

Flamingo I'm a banshee formula feeder and read your bf posts too. The whole debate is interesting when put out thoughtfully unlike how it is here on MN

Tee2072 · 05/09/2011 19:22

Only at the full moon.

All further blogs this week will entale stories of the numbers of loads of laundry I've done as my son just puked all over both of us again.

Amodmillymum · 05/09/2011 19:47

Cheria - here is the link to the comments

Like all bloggers I am comment junkie so please share your views. On the top right hand side of the blog there is a little post-it note with a speech bubble and a number in the middle of it. If you click on that it takes you through to comments.

Thanks - this is my first foray into animal husbandry. I am thinking of getting a goose to fatten up for Christmas. I have found animal husbandry to be infinitely preferable to husbands :)

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was a breast feeder with a bottle top up but I really really really really really wanted to breastfeed and so was nails enough to take the pain. The memories of latching my bubbas onto a blistered nipple still makes me feel a bit sick but it was worth it because neither had so much as a sniffle for the first six months.

MmeLindor. · 05/09/2011 20:35

I like to read the BFing posts too, FB.

This thread certainly helps me to keep up with the blogs, and reminds me to post comments.

It is a funny thing, the comments. Sometimes I get a good few (like today) but sometimes none.

MmeLindor. · 05/09/2011 20:36

Oh, Tee. Just noticed your post. Is he puking again? I thought he was better.

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 05/09/2011 20:42

I thought he was better also, MmeL, but one runny poo (although not as runny as before) and one puke before bed says different. Off to GP tomorrow as we never got a chance to even start the Antibs given to us at the A&E as he needed to not be puking before he took them!

ShirleyKnot · 05/09/2011 22:24

Jesus Tee.

Enough love, this bug has caught a proper hold. Time to start foot stamping sweetie.

my struggle to let my DS2 go to secondary school

Thanks again to all showing concern for me. (hugs)

MmeLindor. · 05/09/2011 22:37

Shirley
Sometimes in amongst the funny posts about parties and cake, you come out with a post like that one, and it surprises me. Not that I don't like your amusing posts, but that one is so poignant and sweet. I feel like I know your boys. (and they sound charming).

My youngest is the giver-of-hugs. We were cuddling yesterday and I said, "Am I your favourite mummy", he answered, "Perhaps. Perhaps not".

Smile

Thank you MMe. Sometimes I like to do an ode to them, I love those boys so much, and when I'm gone (I know this sounds morbid, but wait for a second) they will be able to read this stuff (hopefully, if the internet hasn't been switched off) and know how much I love them.

My whole blog is really sort of about that I think.

ShirleyKnot · 05/09/2011 22:41

Oh, shit, and I meant to say - HA! At your youngest. They know how to cut you dead, eh? Grin

MmeLindor. · 05/09/2011 22:44

I found a website recently where you can have your blog printed. Might do it sometime.

Yes, DS knows how to get me. He said it with a cheeky grin. I don't know where he get's his self-confidence from. I said yesterday that he was looking cool, when he left for school and he said, "I know".

He is only 7yo. God, help us.

OP posts:
Amodmillymum · 05/09/2011 22:52

Shirley you could print the blog off as back up. Just in case the apocalypse comes and they turn the internet off - OMG breaks out into cold sweat

ShirleyKnot · 05/09/2011 22:57

7 is the very apotheosis of self confidence IMO.

Ah to be seven again. Both my two were full to the brim of ideas and fun and childish good humour at seven. It's a brilliant time!

I'm jealous Wink

ShirleyKnot · 05/09/2011 22:58

CAN. YOU. IMAGINE?

NO INTERNET?

I AM TOTALLY WRITING THIS IN CAPS LOCK. I AM SHOUTING.

OH. MY. GOD.

Amodmillymum · 05/09/2011 23:12

I SO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM!!!

ShirleyKnot · 05/09/2011 23:16

I BLOODY LOVE YOUR BLOG AS WELL!

Really, I completely understand where you're you're coming from. LOVE it. Smile

Amodmillymum · 05/09/2011 23:45

Ditto m'dear - thx.

I don't think we should talk about a world without internet anymore - it's too scary!

MmeLindor. · 06/09/2011 07:17

A world without internet?

No, let's not go there.

Tee
How is the boy?

OP posts:
Cheria · 06/09/2011 07:39

Thanks Amodmilly I've worked it out now Blush

Tee2072 · 06/09/2011 07:51

A world without internet?!? ::shudder::

He's kept breakfast down, but he's coughing and pulling his ear. And now my throat is killing me and my ear hurts so we are off to the GP today.

Shirley your blog made me smile and sniff.
