I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

GO isn't taking fields and not compensating illegal? Isn't shooting on land with livestock also illegal? Your landowner sounds very very dodgy. Plus I think legally when one rents out property to tenants (to live in) the water supply should meet certain standards. I am fairly sure that there are at least guidelines on the condition of the water supply to livestock too.

GO, I am so sorry to read this -have commented on your blog. I understand the tension between wanting to raise a fuss but protecting yourselves but surely there must be something that MN collectively, with all its journalistic and political sway, could do?

So sorry for what you and your family is going through. Take care of yourself, you are allowed not to be strong for a bit.

My husband's wise old granny used to go into the woods and scream her frustration and the trees and bushes. She lived through the war, saw her husband called up and sent to Russia near the end of the war, and didn't hear from him for over 7 years. He walked home from Russia. She had a lot to scream about, living close to the border of (the later) East Germany, 3 boys, little money or food.

Sometimes you just need to scream, she said.
