Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

Angel786 · 26/08/2011 20:39

Yay! Thanks queenmaeve. I shall do my best not to disappoint Wink

TrillianAstra · 26/08/2011 21:17

TrillianAstra · 26/08/2011 21:18

LOL, MmeGuillotine :) You can easily substitute the paneer for cubed extra firm tofu. It works pretty well, just make sure not to stir the tofu too much or it will crumble.

I must have been really recharged by the vacation, because I have another post for you all. We've been picking the sour cherries from my neighbours garden, and this is a first of many to come cherry posts. Hope you enjoy it, it really is the simplest of things to make, but oh my, does it ever taste good!

Evans Cherry Drizzle Sauce for everything you can think of

stitchthis · 27/08/2011 07:44

Hi everyone. Very busy few days so here are two tiny posts.

Angel786 · 27/08/2011 10:37

Thanks Tee, totally get the hot coffee point!

MmeGuillotine · 27/08/2011 12:01

Today's post asks is it too soon to write a novel about Princess Diana? I've helpfully added a brief sample of how such a novel might look... ;)

TheAlphaParent · 27/08/2011 13:26

If I wrote a piece titled "Why are formula feeding mothers pissed off?" do you think it would go down well? Brew

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2011 13:30

Write it and then hold onto it until the appropriate time...

Tee2072 · 27/08/2011 15:09

Depends on how you answer the question. Why do you think they are pissed off?

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2011 15:36

Any post starting with

"Why are xxxx...?"

Will first have to justify that the group of people really are xxxx.

Tee2072 · 27/08/2011 15:48

A very good point, Trill.

And as someone who formula fed, I'm a little pissed off that it is assumed that something has pissed me off. So it's a self fullfilling prophecy post, isn't it?

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2011 15:58

Why are formula feeding mothers pissed off?

Because you are writing a post that suggests that they are a homogeneous mas who all think and feel the same thing.

HTH

:)

MmeGuillotine · 27/08/2011 17:34

I was formula fed. I'm pissed off quite a lot of the time. The two facts are not related. ;)

Hello, fellow bloggers. I am pretty new to the bloggers' network and just wanted to say hello to you all. I've just updated my blog this evening.

you would like to read it

Be gentle with me! :)

SweetestThing · 27/08/2011 19:54

Oh poo, that should have read

If you would like to read it

MmeLindor. · 27/08/2011 19:55

What Trill said.

I am, and was, a chilled ff mother. But some struggle with the fact that they "failed" (in their eyes) to bf.

Saying they are all pissed off is like saying all women like to go shopping for shoes, and are shite at maths.

Or all black yoofs are criminals.

Or all DLA recipients are scroungers.

Yes, you might offend.

Anyhoooo, here is my latest post about the bitter side of expat life

Am drowning my sorrows tonight.

SweetestThing
Am going to read your blog once I put the DC to bed. Looks very interesting.

SweetestThing · 27/08/2011 20:01

Thank you, MmeLindor. I hope your sorrow are effectively drowned this evening :)

TrillianAstra · 27/08/2011 20:29

Interestingly (I don't want to say ironically because I don't think it is) some of my friends are just moving to Geneva. Or near it anyway.

Tee2072 · 27/08/2011 20:36

I'm just reading your blog now SweetestThing. Welcome to the network!

MmeL, just read your blog. Sorry you're having a sad day.
