Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

last few days

I wrote a blog about the recent events in London. It's not funny.

DirtyMartini · 10/08/2011 20:59

Good post, stitchthis. And yours, too, Shirley; hope you found it helped to write it.

Welcome, breadfortheboys and TimeSculptor. Will read yours & catch up later, off to watch WDYTYA.

ProfYaffle · 11/08/2011 11:02

Latest post on Piccalilli.

We've been away on holiday so my blog's been a bit quiet the last 2 weeks or so. Looking forward to catching up with everyone's latest posts.

Thank you lagrandissima - that's a really lovely thing to say Smile

DirtyMartini · 11/08/2011 11:54

Bidisha has RT'd my post on WDYTYA from last night Shock Grin

It's not my best-ever post, but within it I linked to a post on her blog which had partly informed my thinking as I watched the programme, so I guess she found it via her stats and came to have a look and considered it worth a tweet. I have gone all adrenaline-rush and unfocused and am bombing around the flat not working. I think she rocks.

DirtyMartini · 11/08/2011 15:45

Oh sorry, it wasn't an actual RT, it was just a tweet she did with a link to the post. Terminology fail.

overmydeadbody · 11/08/2011 15:52

It's been a bit quiet on my blog recently, but I have just published a new blog post called 'The Evolution of Camping'.

Not my usual sewing or creative blog posts, but I had an urge to write.

Lots of new brilliant plog posts here to catch up on! Keep on posting.

Arguments For and Against Breastfeeding in Public

Be nice. Brew

lagrandissima · 11/08/2011 20:32

feelliketweedledee, am loving your clear, sensible and humourous support for BFing mums. Great to have lots of up to date and clearly referenced information in an attractive 'blog' format. Wish I'd had it when I fed my DC, as although www.kellymom.com is very useful, it is a bit dry.

DirtyMartini · 11/08/2011 20:40

I enjoyed that, FeelLike. I read your breastfeeding story post, too, and it was great. Made me well up a little bit actually. I just came from settling DD with a bedtime feed (she is 16 mo but still has a feed in the evening) and was thinking while I cuddled her that I will really miss it when we stop (only got to 5 months with DS b/c of poor advice so feels like a victory that DD enjoys her feed so much).

FeelLikeTweedleDee · 11/08/2011 21:09

Thanks guys! I appreciate all feedback.

My daughter weaned a few weeks ago. She was 12 months old. I don't think she approved of the taste of my 5 months pregnant boob juice. Perhaps she'll want to nurse again when the new LO arrives?

Here's my latest offering!

FeelLikeTweedleDee · 11/08/2011 22:07

nom nom nom I'm dying for something sweet now

FeelLikeTweedleDee · 11/08/2011 22:32

Guys, am I imagining this?

Screenshot of Mumsnet

Does my blog "The Alpha Parent" show on your screen? Or am I just seeing it because I'm logged in?

FlamingoBingo · 12/08/2011 00:00

OMG! Well done you!

FlamingoBingo · 12/08/2011 00:03

But I can't see that 'featured bloggers' window on my MN - why's that then? I can see the big long one on the bloggers page, but you're on talk on that screenshot, aren't you? :-S

FeelLikeTweedleDee · 12/08/2011 00:43

Flamingo can you open a few random thread pages and see if it appears on any of them?

FlamingoBingo · 12/08/2011 00:53

Nope Will ask MNHQ what's going on!

But it's not just your blog I can't see - it's the whole 'featured bloggers' little window thingy.

ps. Do you know who I am?

FlamingoBingo · 12/08/2011 00:54

Ooh, it's there now! Bizarre! And, yes, you're on it! :)

FlamingoBingo · 12/08/2011 00:54

And it's gone again Confused

FeelLikeTweedleDee · 12/08/2011 10:29

Weird isn't it? Thanks for the conformation Flamingo.

Think I'll change my Mumsnet ID to Alpha Parent so it links with the blog.

TheAlphaParent · 12/08/2011 10:44

Ahhh that's better :)

I didn't receive an email or anything about being featured blogger so it pays to browse the forums guys. I just saw it out of chance.

MmeLindor. · 12/08/2011 12:11

Alpha
I think the featured blogger thing comes up on Threads I Am On - I know I noticed that Gentle Otter was on there this week. I use the forums a lot anyway so generally see who is up there.

OP posts:
GentleOtter · 12/08/2011 12:49

Latest blog

I feel really chuffed to bits to be one the featured bloggers. Smile

TheAlphaParent · 12/08/2011 13:14

G.Otter love the snowy scene on your blog. Where was that photo taken?

GentleOtter · 12/08/2011 13:17

The photo was taken out of the bedroom window, TheAlphaParent but I feel a bit of a fraud as they are a neighbour's sheep.
