Aaaaaarrrghhhh... I've lost pretty much most of my pictures on the blog... something to do with a Picasa album!!! I am going to have to sit and get the pictures back on tomorrow :(

Mumsnet, if you're checking out my blog in the next few days, can you defer until I get the pictures back on??

Butterfly - I was messing about with Google + and after linking Picasa to it, my entire blogger pictures folder vanished.

Its broken all the picture links, and I've decided I am going to use Flickr to host them instead. Its taking forever, as I have to upload them on Flickr, then capture the HTML code, then manually reload on to Blogger. Painful :(

But at least I have a backup of all the pictures I use.

Here's my latest - bit of a kitchen disaster

Moom, that was a pretty disaster :) I tried making no cook jam today, and it was a really ugly disaster... teach me to follow instructions next time. And no, I am not posting it on my blog

Butterfly, its a PITA all right!!

With Flickr, I have noticed the following issues... unless you have a pro account.

• you can only see the latest 200 pictures, even though no pictures are deleted.
• but you can still do the HML linking on your blog and those pictures will still be visible.

I think I can live with that, as I quite like the new sizes on the blog, as opposed to the older Blogger pictures. Plus I now have a full backup on Flickr and the computer, which will be great in case of a computer crash. The Flickr monthly quota is very generous, and as long as you make sure to take the link out before you hit your 200 quota.

I also resize and compress all my pictures, so I make full use of the 300 MB quota.

Its a pain to have to go and do it all over again though... but that said, I have been rewriting some of my older stuff, so maybe all is not lost after all :)

Oh and I havea new post to share - coastal Indian snacks - Biscuit Ambade - and no, they have no biscuits in them and they don't even even remotely look like biscuits :)

I haven't been accepted into the network yet... but I think its just taking a long time, as they seem to be checking every element of it. Think its going to take a while!
