The twaddle continues ......

For Bodenbabe

An exemplar of the Face of a Fallen Angel

Goodness, I think I have turned poor Flowers to the Dark Side.

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 15:34

Lovely pic, Flowers! I was aware of the fallen angel thing, I just didn't connect that with the acronym, duh me :) I just kept thinking of what we used to call an 'FF' years ago when watching all those EM Forster/Merchant Ivory films - floppy fringe.

Jane Austen - meh.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 15:43

Ah yes, all those floppy fringe movies. Only connect, indeed.

Don't worry, Theresa. Although my refined aesthetic sensibilities permit me to appreciate a Thing of Beauty, however Dark, I am still resolutely on the side of Goodness and Light.

Quintessential FF

Good God, that was a shock to the system. Just got a round robin email from DD's school, saying that if you need blah blah blah, then talk to Mr Armitage! Took me a second to realise they weren't talking about our Mr Armitage :o

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 15:47

Oh, Bodenbabe, this is a trip down memory lane. That was indeed a quintessential FF, but my favourite of that particular league of gentlemen was always this one. Note the smoulder and the air of naughtiness.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 15:54

Grin Boden. Bet you had a little surruptitious swoon, even then.
Just think, he might even have a distant connection
.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 15:59

Would that be stalker mode, Theresa?

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 16:05

Never, Flowers. I am far too respectful and grateful for that.

Nay, it was but a teensy jest.
Though there is the possibility that Boden's Mr A might have some close relatives that would pass in a dim light. That is worth considering.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 16:13

I know, Theresa. Mine was a jest too. I wear a pince-nez, but a lorgnette.

OP posts:
Fettle · 15/11/2010 16:15

That was a huuuuugggggeeee pick and Mix!!!Grin

I feel we may all be get a tad over obsessed interested in our subject matter!!! But hey we're only young once eh?!!Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 16:16

Phew, I was really scared of that lorgnette.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 16:20

Check out this out, then
Fettle.

Fettle · 15/11/2010 16:21

I've ventured into the archives myself - found some fitting . Tis very moving and beautiful! And reminds us that this time a week ago our dear Lucas snuffed it!

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 16:29

Flowers that pic of Thornton is gorgeous!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 16:58

That opening shot is amazing Swoon and thud

Bodenbabe · 15/11/2010 17:57

Flowers, he was amazing in Another Country (my joint fave, along with Maurice) but my Colin Firth obsession was well up and running by then... Good Lord, just had a look on IMDB and worked out that I've had a crush on Colin Firth for 25 years. Now that makes me feel old.

Theresa, I did double-take, certainly :)

Faaaaaaaaaabulous vids, Fettle & Theresa! Wow, some gorgeous Lucas shots. And why did nobody tell me that Lucas wears GLASSES at one point?! OK, fair enough, I didn't actually ask but still... cor, I like a man in glasses.

Fettle · 15/11/2010 18:00

Boden! You just made me snort tres unattractively!!Grin

There was I expecting our divine idol.....!Grin

Theresaholeinyourmind · 15/11/2010 18:10

It was quite a Shock for me too, Boden. I don't know Spooks well enough to say this but those glasses look more like protective eyewear to me, not those for the visually challenged.

Either way, Lucas certainly is divine. he has an unearthly otherworldliness about him.
Guy being 99% of the time much more down to a rather mucky earth and seriously in your face. Not that I'm complaining, you understand.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 18:29

Yes, MrsLN, that's my boy.

Some lovely vids there.

Fettle - Truth be told, I am more committed to this thread than I am to The Man. Rummaging around in the basement and bringing back goodies to share has become very additive! And, as I said before, it's been hysterically funny too.

Boden - This doesn't really belong in our archive, but you might appreciate it. Mind you, a 25 year crush is nothing. Pah. My pash on Robert Redford has lasted at least a decade longer than that.

You gals never stop!! Quite the addicts!

MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 19:13

Hope this works...

john porter

Not bad eh? Wink

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 19:44

Backbone of steel and heart of gold, eh?

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 15/11/2010 19:47

Who said anything about a backbone of steel Wink!

I have another chapter of Guy Thornton North at the ready if anyone fancies and antidote to a Lucas-free Monday night?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 15/11/2010 19:51

It was the caption on the other picture on the page. Did you really not look?
