I've been in this field for almost 20 years. I started out doing readings and then I branched out into teaching. I have had books published and I have read for and taught thousands of people.

Ask me anything if you are curious about this line of work.

I know that this is a controversial field of work - some people believe in it and some don't. Obviously I believe in it fully to be doing this. I will ignore any questions from people with an axe to grind (i.e. those that imply I'm scamming people or delusional).

Hi there, when and how did realise you had such a gift?

I've had mystical experiences in childhood and adolescence. I noticed that other people didn't see the world the way I did. I was constantly reading books about the spirit world as a teenager and it remained an interest into my twenties. So, in summary, I've had experiences I couldn't explain for most of my life.

Do you feel guilty about making up nonsense (and presumably taking money from people) when they are often at their most vulnerable?

Shortfatsuit · 07/06/2024 12:33

My friend firmly believes that she is psychic and hangs around a lot with others that believe the same. She doesn't charge anyone for what she does, and people do seem grateful for her help, so I regard it as harmless. But most of the time, what she says seems to be the kind of stuff that could just be based on really good people reading skills and a bit of lucky guesswork.

I have never been brave enough to ask her about this, but what is it that makes you so certain that you're psychic and not just very perceptive? And where do you think the dividing line is between those two things?

My Dad passed away 7 weeks ago. Is it true you should wait 6 months before seeing a medium?

Not necessarily. I probably wouldn't get a reading in the first month after a death. It can be helpful to wait for the dust to settle.

When you say you’re a professional psychic, I assume you’re making a living from your gift? Do you do card readings?

I've had shocking experiences where a spirit has told me something very detailed that could be proven. Things I could not have known.

One example that isn't too outing is a spirit spelled out a person's email password. It was a Hungarian surname. A long one. She wasn't Hungarian. She was shocked, so was I.

We don’t imply you’re scamming vulnerable people, we know. If you honestly have this sort of gift, then quite frankly it would be disgusting to charge desperate people looking for help that you could apparently give without any effort

Well, not really. A girl's got to eat!

The spirit was her spirit guide, or so it told me. Not just any old random spirit.

iamreallyabee · 07/06/2024 12:37

Why would we have spirit guides ? I mean why would they want to ? And if I have one it doesn't seem to do anything ?

DreamyCyanFinch · 07/06/2024 12:40

Why do some people feel their relatives contact them , and others don't?

Serious, deadly serious question - do you charge? And if so, why?

cheezncrackers · 07/06/2024 12:42

Where is Michael Mosley?

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 07/06/2024 12:42

Do people ask for their money back when you get things wrong?

ginasevern · 07/06/2024 12:43

How do you visualise the information you are telling clients. Do you see images in your mind for example?

I've known people come through before their funeral. My friend's son. His name the way he died so much good evidence. My brother. Very detailed evidence.

The police do use psychics and mediums. All mediums are psychic but not all psychics are mediums.

I don't think anyone should believe anything unless they've had amazing proof. The things I've experienced are mind blowing. When younger I'd have thought someone telling me such stories was cookoo so don't blame people for thinking the same. I don't think we're supposed to know everything. Can you imagine if we did? That'd be a pointless existence.

You're very brave OP. I hope you're able to help a lot of people. Is it more counselling you do?

Saved me typing my question.

ElsaMars · 07/06/2024 12:45

Why is everything a psychic says so vague? E.g 'I'm getting a H name', or 'someone tall'. Surely if the dead were sending messages to loved ones, they would be very specific and say something like 'Hi its your Mum Jean Smith here and to prove it, here's some information only you and I know'.
Also, have you watched the Derren Brown documentary about Psychics? How do you explain him doing just as well as the so-called psychic?

When you say your spirit guide doesn't seem to do anything, what do you mean?

Have you asked it for help or asked for information and got nothing? I might be able to give you some tips if you give me more specifics.

I believe we all have spirit guides.

My worldview is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. We come into this life often to experience or learn something in particular (my readings centre around what people are learning in their life). Our spirit guides help us with what we are here to learn and experience. We have a particular plan, they give us guidance to help us to achieve what we came here to do. People often don't recognise the guidance because they've been receiving it their entire lives in quite an unconscious way.

I've heard of cold readers marketing themselves as psychics. Are you a cold reader?

Why do some people feel their relatives contact them , and others don't?

We are not all sensitive to spirit. Some people are more sensitive than others.

Some spirits are also more skillful at getting through to us than others.
