I've been in this field for almost 20 years. I started out doing readings and then I branched out into teaching. I have had books published and I have read for and taught thousands of people.

Ask me anything if you are curious about this line of work.

I know that this is a controversial field of work - some people believe in it and some don't. Obviously I believe in it fully to be doing this. I will ignore any questions from people with an axe to grind (i.e. those that imply I'm scamming people or delusional).

Spirit knows I don't want that kind of info. But unfortunately it can occasionally come with the territory. Thankfully I've not got anything like that in a while.

Somebody asked for more clarification on predictions.

I do believe predictions can sometimes affect peoples' free will and even in some cases, make their life worse. It can mess with peoples' heads and they may find themselves doing things that maybe they wouldn't do if they hadn't had a prediction. So, I don't really do them.

I have been given info about my own life that came true but I didn't really want it. I'd rather not know what is going to happen and Spirit knows this.

My view is that about 5-10% of our life is set in stone (if that). We plan some things before we get here. It may be details like, meeting a certain partner or having a child. Working in or making a contribution to a certain field. Moving to a different country. Struggling with a particular situation and then overcoming it. The details vary from person to person.

The rest is down to our free will.

You can ask for a prediction in the sense of, how will things turn out if I carry on down this path?

But I think a much better and simpler question is: Do I want to go down this path? / How does it feel to me? And if I don't want it, are there other possibilities available to me I'm not seeing?

Sorry I haven't been able to get to all the genuine questions yet.

Someone asked what do I think of shamanic techniques/practices (I think it was on page 1 or 2)

I do think there's some utility/validity to these sorts of healing techniques because they have been around for about 10,000 years old and practised widely throughout many cultures. I don't think something would have lasted so long and been practised widely, if it was 100% useless!

There's concepts from Shamanism that corresponds to modern concepts in psychology. For example, the concept of "soul loss" in shamanism, which is a wounding and fragmentation of the person's soul/psyche due to trauma.

Modern psychology has this concept of structural dissociation and trauma splitting, where parts of us become frozen or inaccessible due to the trauma we experienced. Shamans have known about this phenomenon long before modern psychology was established.

I had a shamanic journeying session myself. It was very interesting. The shaman described something that happened to me aged 16 that was quite traumatic. The trauma involved shattered glass and she described what happened and said, energetically you are still covered in glass (which I guess is a metaphor for still being affected by it.) She was right in what she described. That was an example of soul loss in shamanism, and we did some work on the parts of the psyche that were fragmented.

Although I have to say, I didn't really feel much difference from the work we did?

Having said that, I done quite a bit of EMDR too for trauma, and I felt no different after that. I've always been waiting for the positive effects/healing to kick in after that since so many people benefit from it, but they never did. It was an interesting experience, though.

So not really AMA, more "speak into my echo chamber" then. I won't phrase it as a question in that case. Your field of "work" is a pile of made up bollocks that exploits the vulnerable.

MarshmallowPink · 09/06/2024 06:24

I wish you could tell me my life's purpose! I often wonder about it. Sometimes I think the 'Earth school' thing is unbearably cruel when I see the suffering that some people endure.

cupsandcupsoftea · 09/06/2024 06:45

Please can you let me know the next wimning lottery numbers?

rosemary65 · 09/06/2024 07:44

Another psychic-medium messaged and asked me how do I find clients.

Word of mouth.

I have been writing online for the last 17 years, so people sometimes find me through my writing.

I've written over a million words since I started (which is about 15-20 books worth of content) and my site has been visited by many millions of people over the years. If you're widely read in the field of spirituality/spiritualism it's possible you've come across my work at some point, especially if you've Googled something! I don't get as much traffic as I used to (when the internet was less crowded in terms of websites) but still more than enough.

I don't do advertising and I generally don't work with journalists or media when they get in contact. I prefer to attract the right people for my work based on what I write.

I ask this already (what’s your net and gross annual income) and it was dodged…

TheShellBeach · 09/06/2024 11:07

Sorry I haven't been able to get to all the genuine questions yet

By "genuine questions" I suppose you mean questions from people who believe that the dead can communicate through you.

There were plenty of genuine questions about the ethics of your activities, but you've clearly ignored them.

That was dodged. Plus all of the questions from people asking her what she actually does as she’s responded to every question with ‘I’m not that type of psychic’ or ‘I don’t do that’

Doltontweedle · 09/06/2024 18:58

rosemary65 · 08/06/2024 12:05

Somebody on the first page asked me what did I do with the information I received that a friend's husband had cancer and was going to die.

I did nothing. Spirit told me he was going to die and nothing could be done.

By the time I got this info, his cancer was already very advanced and it was a type of cancer people rarely survive.

I don't like receiving this sort of information and don't really want to know it.

Wow. What a surprise. So you didn’t mention to your friend that she was about to lose her husband. It was only AFTER the fact that you’ve decided to come out with ‘oh I knew it was going to happen coz of the psychic stuff’ 🙄

BobbyBiscuits · 10/06/2024 01:39

Hi there OP
You didn't answer my question which was how would you convince a person that does not believe in this stuff that you were genuine?
Could you answer this please?

rosemary65 · 10/06/2024 06:13

@RogersOrganismicProcess :

"You might have missed my question, or it might have come across as sceptical amongst the sceptic posts, but I am intrigued about what it feels like for you when you get information about the person you are reading. Is it like hearing a voice, seeing an image etc? Thank you"

There are a few different ways of getting information: clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience and claircognizance.

I know things. I also 'see' things in my mind's eye, and 'feel' things.

Examples of how each of those looks:

For example, driving on a usual route to a destination. Feeling that something isn't right (that's clairsentience) taking the back roads instead, and avoid being stuck in traffic for hours, after an accident that took place on the usual route.

Could also see a 'scene' playing out inside my head for a client, and then be told it is the situation they are facing in their life.

It's quite matter of fact, when knowing something. I know that what I am getting is what I need to pass on, because it is accompanied by a feeling (which is clairsentience).

We all have these abilities and many people I think can give examples of having gut feelings about something or just knowing something, despite evidence to the contrary. They aren't 'supernatural' abilities. I call them super natural and believe we evolved to have them.

Somebody asked how much I earn.

I earn a salary that is higher than what I ever earned as a teacher. But not an absolutely massive salary. I only work part time these days (maybe 4 hours per day?) as a lifestyle choice. If I worked full time I would make much more.

OP posts:
rosemary65 · 10/06/2024 06:30

It is more than enough for me to live on even though I only work part time.

Thanks to those who sent real questions for taking part in this AMA.

Sorry if I didn't get to your question.

Also, sorry I wasn't able to reveal who I was or send a website. Mumsnet checked out my website when someone reported my thread for spam, to verify that I am who I say I am.

As for the twit who tried to get my thread shut down, and those who wrote mean comments (most of which I did not read). I see you just the same as I see God botherers and Jehovahs Witnesses who knock on my door and try to put a leaflet in my hand.

Your philosophy is materialism/skepticism/atheism. It may not be considered a religion but it's still a philosophy and worldview that you seek to impose on others, to the point where you try to shut down threads.

You're worse than God botherers in the sense that you not only tell people they are wrong for believing in spiritualism, but you also insult them and suggest they must be half wits and unstable. It is laughable.

I (and other spiritualists) see you for what you are.

Be assured, OP, that we sceptics see you for what you are, too.

Only too well.

Well, you have the choice between 'halfwit' and 'predator on the vulnerable', surely? Your call.
