I’m honestly not too sure. It wasn’t gradual though, everything initially happened in a matter of weeks of me moving in with him. I remember him receiving bills and being absolutely fuming (I’m still anxious about the post man to this day) about them and i suppose following his suggestions lessened the atmosphere in the home a little so I continued. I tried not to think about it too much. I was quite vulnerable and isolated at the time
