massive drip feed - it wasn’t SO burnt that it would have set off a smoke alarm or alerted the neighbours. It was just a lot darker than I’d have liked. Probably some mad people out there who would enjoy it at that shade.

Butter, spread, Marmite, jam, honey, Nutella or marmalade? If jam or marmalade, what kind?

I let it cool slightly then put some salted butter and some peanut butter on it. I don’t like them to melt. I scraped so I barely noticed the burnt taste.

How can you possibly claim a grill is better? A toaster is specifically designed to toast bread and crucially will stop cooking before the toast is burnt. This post sums up everything that is wrong with this country.
