Cleaning company

ThatTimeIKnewFamousPeople · 21/03/2024 21:06

Anyone else any the wiser as to what they do?? That is the burning question of this AMA - What. Are. Your. Jobs.

You've started a thread and name changed for it, you might as well tell us 😁

Or I guess you do something vague in education for £60 k pa, so the big question is what does your tradesman husband do to bring in the remaining 700k???

Rosetrout · 21/03/2024 21:07

How many people does your company employ?

Flapearedknave · 21/03/2024 21:07

Teenangels · 21/03/2024 21:04

For the person that asked why so many cars.

I have a Land Rover for the horses, a car that takes all the kids or most of them, and a Convertible.

My husband has a 4x4 and a work van.

Thought you 'used' to have 2 horses?

Why do you think being a designated safeguarding lead will be outing?

If you own lots of properties (landlords) have you ever ‘no reason given’ evicted anyone? Are the properties in a state where you’d happily live in them?

This

elizzza · 21/03/2024 21:08

You earn £60k as a state school DSL and live in a TEN vehicle household? Pretty sure this thread is pure fantasy.

ThatTimeIKnewFamousPeople · 21/03/2024 21:08

If anyone finds out what he does can you @me please - I'm invested now 😁

wutheringkites · 21/03/2024 21:08

What type of business do you run?

Are these the horses that you said not two minutes earlier you 'used' to have?

What do you think of the common assumption that all Northerners have gravy on everything? Do you like gravy?

Teenangels · 21/03/2024 21:10

sleekcat · 21/03/2024 21:01

How much money could you lose and still be happy?
Are you/your husband passionate about work?
Why do you have so many appliances in your kitchen?

We could lose it all and have been very close to losing it all, more than once. We would be happy, money can only buy so much. We have a son with ASC, so know how hard it can be.

My husband is very driven, I am have worked hard and will go part time, give up work soon.

We have 4 kids and like entertaining so 2 dishwashers is so we can out them on at the same time and not have plates hanging around. The ovens I have no idea but it does look nice.

What is your DHs 5 year business plan. Does he have a ltd or is he a sole trader.

Blah blah blah, OP stop listing the things you’ve managed to acquire and tell us what your DH does so we can all stop listing in this pointless thread

Oh, and would you rather have sausages for fingers or no hands at all?

SpinningOutWaitingForYa · 21/03/2024 21:11

A DSL does not automatically earn you £60k a year though?!

The DSLs in my school all have another role (sendco, HT, etc)

I would love to know how to earn £60k in a school!

KCSIE · 21/03/2024 21:11

Justbecausethefirsttimewehadanenormouscrowd · 21/03/2024 20:59

What's that. And why is it outing

Designated Safeguarding Lead.

Usually either Head Teacher, Deputy Head, or SENDCo are all DSL in a school . My guess would be Deputy as they usually have an attitude similar to how the OP is coming across.

It's not outing unless @Teenangels specifies the local authority or names the school really though.

As my Granny was Northern we grow up with gravy on everything.

I draw the line on chips though.

I presume that to be bringing in so much money, your DH’s company must by now employ a lot of other tradespeople.

Do you pay them fairly, and do they get any profit related pay or additional performance related pay?

How did the horses learn to drive and pass their test? Has the Land Rover been adapted for their anatomy being different to humans? How do they change gear or is it an automatic with the gears being: walk, trot, canter, gallop?

Rosetrout · 21/03/2024 21:14

I’m genuinely curious about how big a company has to be to allow the directors to take over a million quid in salary/dividend. What does the company turnover and how many people do you have working for the company?

Rainynight09 · 21/03/2024 21:14

Teenangels · 21/03/2024 20:49

I am sure that he will not have an affair, we are very happy, but if he did, I would get half of everything and as a Director I know that what ever he would earn in the future I would get half.

So you have got it all figured out. You still haven't answered my question. Why would no one else want your husband?

My attitude is the same as the posters comments.

My grammar and spelling has been called out, but I have Dyslexia so can be excused.

To be called a slum landlord when they have no idea is so judgemental and people have no idea.

They change gear when they canter.
