Our income as stated is from what we earn, not from investments.

Okay so you earn 60k working in education, not as a teacher but as someething 'worthwhile in society.'

Your DH brings in the other 720k through his business which, as he drives a van, I assume is related to his trade.

You haven't earned your money by doing up houses but I imagine if you own several properties that you've bought along the way to rent out, then a good chunk of your income comes from that.

That is a strange thing to think, imo. People would still be using food banks, living in squalor, even if the OP was just earning 21K. The difference is that the OP, is in a more privileged position to be able to donate a whole lot more, if she wishes to do so.

Our favourite holiday destination was Kenya, South Africa and Mauritius.
We entertain at home lots, I always host Christmas and friends are always welcome.
We have 2 dogs, and we used to have a pony and 2 horses.
We have a house keeper/cleaner (2 days a week), a gardener and then every couple of months a carpet cleaner and window cleaner.

I have a Land Rover for the horses, a car that takes all the kids or most of them, and a Convertible.

My husband has a 4x4 and a work van.
