@Ohlookwhoitis 😘

Ok so hang on. This is a woman, married to a bloke with a small scaffolding business that employs a few people and has an annual turnover of 780K, is that right? Not, this is a woman who is a director of a large commercial scaffolding business that is doing extremely well and pays 2 of its directors, a husband and wife, 390K a year salary out of company profits?

In which case, my AMA is why does the OP think this is AMA worthy?

Most small businesses with a couple of employees will have a few hundred thousand in the company account at any given time. Most people with a limited company will have that sort of money as annual turnover, if there's a couple of people invoicing. It's actually extraordinarily hard to get that money out without losing nearly half in tax and, if you have to pay a few worker salaries on top there won't be much left for the co directors to take as dividends after tax. Mind you, we don't actually know that this is cash in the company account. A small scaffolding company will no doubt be taking cash in hand for a lot of work and this undeclared income that the directors don't pay tax on is probably what is keeping the OP in ovens.

No says that take home is £780,000- so even allowing for dividend tax not income the profit must be £1.2 million and so after staff wages, materials, VAT etc but before corporation tax the company must make about £2 million.

You're embarrassing yourself here

At least.

I disagree with several of the posters….this is very plausible. I say good luck to you!
Hard work, being able to spot opportunities and run with the ball to create something of
value.
(no doubt I will get shouted down for saying this). But, to be frank, - we need more
entrepreneurial go getters in this country paying tax.

@justasking111 why is @BoringBoris embarrassing themselves?

Again for those saying everyone is jealous, what nonsense, the OP is in a situation many many women are in, it really isn’t that uncommon in the slightest, people just don’t talk about it for a few reasons, namely it’s just a normal state of affairs, and talking about how many ovens one has over dinner, is bound to put everyone to sleep, it’s also weird, a bit like this thread.

The other reasons her posts are being questioned are down to the fact that we are wondering why she thinks we would find it so interesting firstly and secondly there are too many inconsistencies for us to believe her in the first place.

Not drinking.

Our business is a trade, that starts from the ground up.

AMA except what I'm bragging about.

FWIW I think it's all fantasy and even if it was true. Your husband earns £720,000 you earn £60,000
