Long time lurker but have NC for this.

I run an LGBT Pride event. I want to deal with some of the nonsense theories that we welcome pedophiles or have banned lesbians.

Ask me anything. (Disclaimer: I won't answer anything specific that might out me.)

I asked a few times about single sex spaces, very respectfully and with genuine curiosity but didn't make the cut.

I asked what defines a man. As I genuinely would like to know. As no one in 2023 can define a woman any more. So maybe if we can define a man, it might be more clear....

They're not at my Pride and not any Pride I've been to.

You literally said that they were at your pride and admitted it was even more extreme than other ones.

I had questions of a completely different interest - why you were asking same sex families to self-exclude in favour of straight men with kinks. You never answered them though, and I doubt you were ever going to.

No 1 country according to Rainbow Europe is Malta - a country where it was still illegal to have an abortion under ANY circumstances until July. Now if a woman's life is at risk she's allowed an abortion. How progressive.

Ahhh. But remember Malta has a trafficked women for surrogacy issue iirc.

Yes, but both of those issues would only matter if they somehow affected transwomen. Which they don’t, so it’s fine.

OP thanks for your honesty that Pride is a celebration of adult sexuality not a family event, and for not gas lighting us into blurring that boundary. Drag queens, kink, fetishism, puppy play etc are not children's entertainment. As we all now know lesbians/gay men, trans/NB people in our families, friends and colleagues the visibility angle is less significant. I do miss 90s Prides though!

Wow the 4 things the op wants are things we should be campaigning against. The sterilisation of kids through banning therapy for trans kids, the police state hate crime laws etc. There are so many parallels now its almost undeniable but they really do think they are on the right side of history.

Why not?

They are welcome to organise their own Pride if they don't like ours.
So much for worrying about being inclusive 🙄
