Have a lovely Christmas all! Thank you for the amazing support and guidance. Despite being a bit wonky and being evened up in Jan I LOVE my boobs, I’ve loved that they haven’t been the focus of attention when at Xmas parties, and I feel so much more like me with them smaller. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself, and I am so absolutely grateful to you all as I don’t think I would have done it if @Bigtitsbetty hadn’t started her first thread, and if the rest of you hadn’t been so amazing. Thank you x

Madagascary · 24/12/2023 14:05

Yoku that, lots of love and good wishes to you all this Christmas.

I have celebrated by buying myself another wacoal bra, (although it’s expensive like my old ones, the shape is just amazing)
it’s called rafinee if anyone wants one!!

Madagascary · 24/12/2023 14:06

lol at dictation.

nor yuku!! “I echo that “

MorrisZapp · 24/12/2023 17:39

Merry Christmas all! What a year. Started with dangling boobs, now my nipples point upwards to infinity. And my favourite bra at any price comes from Sainsbury's 😂😂

Loads of fab compliments at the work Christmas do and oh the joy of a dress chosen for its colour and style, not it's boob disguising properties.

Full disclosure, one is rounder than the other. If I was younger I might be minded to get some lipo for a more even result. But tbh, feck it.

Cheers you lovely ladies, it's just been so amazing! Xxx

Heartfullofcheese · 25/12/2023 11:20

Merry Titmas everyone!
What a lovely group of support and encouragement this has been - thank you everyone!!

Bigtitsbetty · 25/12/2023 11:23

Merry Christmas all. Thanks for the help and support. Week 9 and, despite the ongoing low level wound infection, loving my new fun- size pair. So looking forward to summer clothes.

user80 · 25/12/2023 18:20

Perky Christmas everyone! 🎄🥂

Madagascary · 25/12/2023 19:12

Summer clothes are incredible.

It’s nice just buying one size

Lesserspottedbex · 25/12/2023 22:07

Weatherwax13 · 26/12/2023 02:12

Merry Christmas 🎄 all .
Booked in Jan 18th for a consult with surgeon re my disappointment/concerns.
But forgetting that now in light expanding Christmas waistline! Hope everyone's having a peaceful time.

CoolShoeshine · 04/01/2024 20:50

Hi reduction thread ladies! I’ve literally just had mine done and glad to have found your thread as I haven’t told many people in real life. Happy with the results and coping ok with the recovery so far 😁

Madagascary · 04/01/2024 20:57

Welcome all.
@CoolShoeshine how’s The discomfort. The sleeping upright. How does the weight reduction feel(

CoolShoeshine · 04/01/2024 22:04

Thanks for the welcome @Madagascary The pain is not as bad as I’d feared (so far) but I’m irritated already by the compression socks and bra and the back sleeping. But well worth it as chest feels much lighter than before.

Weatherwax13 · 05/01/2024 05:38

Congratulations @CoolShoeshine
Hope your recovery goes well

Madagascary · 05/01/2024 06:43

The pain is really minimal

don’t forget to ask surgeon how much they removed! Plus after care tips

Singletrackmind · 05/01/2024 13:39

Hello @CoolShoeshine !! Take it nice and easy & just chill, it is a big op. I had those compression socks off immediately, maternity/ u shaped pillow is your friend for comfy sleep & resting early days 👍

CoolShoeshine · 05/01/2024 14:49

@Madagascary 1200g was removed apparently which is only about 2.5lbs but it has made a huge difference visually

@Singletrackmind I don’t think the socks will last much longer on me, they feel hideous. I’m lucky though that it’s winter, my legs would literally roast in them in summer

Weatherwax13 · 08/01/2024 03:53

Happy New Year everyone ✨️ @Martinisarebetterdirty are you having your revision work done this month? How do you feel?
I've scrolled back but can't see if anyone else is also having more work.
I am looking at what can be done when you're unhappy with the results.
I've read that surgeons can perform a lift after the original reduction and would love to know anyone's experience of this.
The big "dip" on the right side is getting worse: the skin is puckered too. And I'm really upset at how much they've both dropped in just 12 weeks.
Also, can anyone else feel a big hole/gap in the tissue where the horizontal and vertical scars join when laying down?
I'm feeling uncharacteristically vulnerable around this and I know my surgeon will be dismissive.
He is absolutely right that the size is great and exactly as he predicted. And I knew there was a chance they'd be quite uneven (which they are) but he doesn't give a crap about the aesthetics.
I need to be really prepared for this appointment and I guess I just want someone else to say "I was unhappy, but I had revision work and now it's great!!"

Madagascary · 08/01/2024 06:58

I’m sorry @Weatherwax13
i wonder if another surgeon will give a second opinion

Martinisarebetterdirty · 08/01/2024 08:05

Hi @Weatherwax13 I’m sorry to hear this. I would say that time fluffs them up a lot, I was quite upset to have absolutely nothing when I came out of surgery and I’m settling around a DD. I know a lot of people say how perky they are, I wouldn’t say mine are perky I’d say I have high nipples, the weight of the breast tissue and my already stretched skin have definitely given more volume at the bottom. I’m back in on Wednesday to even them out, only having adjustments in the right side, and in and out in a day so will report back.
I think you should get a second opinion too, good luck.
Edited to add that mine are over a cup size different, my surgeon is flummoxed and the revision surgery is free. Yes some difference is expected but not as much as a cup size.

veiledsentiments · 08/01/2024 08:10

My 22 year old DD is booked in to have the operation on the 7th March. I don’t live in the UK, so am coming back to make sure all goes well and to help her out with showering, dressing etc. I was planning on being in the UK for about two and a half weeks after the operation. Do you think this will be long enough to get her through the initial post op stage, or do you think I might need to stay longer? Many thanks.

Madagascary · 08/01/2024 09:01

Two weeks will be perfect v

Singletrackmind · 08/01/2024 09:10

@Weatherwax13 sorry you are feeling low, totally understand how you must feel given what a big emotional thing this whole op is. I haven’t had the physical things you mention & was wondering about the ‘lift ’ part as that really is integral to any reduction.

When I started down this road I had visions of me with teeny, tiny boobs skipping around like a teenage. What I actually have is lifted small(er) boobs. I think I didn’t really appreciate how much your existing shape/ breast tissue mass/ skin condition etc influences the result you get. Daft I know … but hey!

I think it might be useful to ask your surgeon why he thinks the issues that you are experiencing have happened. So rather than coming in on the offensive, couch it in terms that you need to understand why this has happened and then invite him to make suggestions as to how best he can fix the things that you feel aren’t an acceptable outcome. I wld also, as suggested, look at who might be able to give a second opinion if you need that. Hope it goes ok. If you look on both UK breast reduction Facebook groups there are lots of revision experiences on there & yes people get revisions & are happy.

@Martinisarebetterdirty - hope it goes well this week for you!

@veiledsentiments assuming no complications that’s plenty of time … I was driving/ back at work in less than 2 weeks.

Weatherwax13 · 08/01/2024 10:59

@Madagascary @Martinisarebetterdirty @Singletrackmind
