Hey! Bored and thought this could be fun. As I've said above I smoke cannabis daily, Have done for years. Only in the evening. I'm a mum and my DH does too. If anyone has any questions ask away :-)

Around £30-£50 depending on the stuff!

Interesting thanks. Does the price vary depending on the strain or who you get it from?

We used to pay a flat rate of £20 regardless...that was a good 15 years ago

Mabelface · 03/05/2023 16:14

I do too, for 2 reasons. One to shut adhd brain up for a while, and 2 to stimulate my very poor appetite as otherwise I don't feel hunger. County lines isn't the only way to access it.

I'm really of the mindset to legalise, regulate and tax it. Let people have their own couple of plants for personal use. Remove the criminality part. The government could raise a huge amount of revenue this way and there'd be far less demand via County lines.

BSB30 · 03/05/2023 16:18

This is really upsetting and infuriating to read.

Your children essentially have 2 parents who are drug takers which is going to affect them as they grow up. Both parents are also not fully coherent whilst looking after the children.

For what it's worth, those of us who don't touch the stuff can smell it a mile off. It's because you are so used to the smell and are desensitised to it. I can smell it on someone who walks past me but isn't smoking at that time. I can smell it when I walk past a certain house where they are smoking inside. Your children will smell of it. It will be on your clothes and then you bring it into the house.

Your MH may be good now, but you're both risking psychosis
Your DC must reek?
Do you worry about the effect on them?
Fair enough if you dabble before DC, but irresponsible now imo

Velvian · 03/05/2023 16:20

It could also very easily get back to your DCs if they have any schoolmates living nearby.

Elderflower14 · 03/05/2023 16:22

What a waste of money!!

Velvian · 03/05/2023 16:22

Will you stop as your DC get older @takecareteddybear ?

Once they start staying up later, you will have dilemma.

I think it's not a great idea to fuel this poster's need for attention.

She's loving winding everyone up and being a 'rebel'.

Carry on OP but be aware that SS may get involved if other people know your kids are being brought up like this.

Neighbours, teachers, other parents- they will all either know now or find out.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA to all of this.

The children are inside the house, we are outside, nothing is kept in the house, never ever smoke around kids, I'm usually up in the morning for shower etc before they even wake up. Their clothes are wash and dried nowhere near it, in all the years we have school, friends, family not one person has mentioned a smell.

No I don't wouldn't know where to start haha! I mix with baccy. In fact I'm sure if any young'ens looked at my joints they would laugh as I use only a tiny amount! I really do not want ti feel off my face stones just a small relaxing buzz.

Well it’s completely legal in California and 12 other US states. You’ll be able to buy it in Walmart soon.

Mind you, most of their other laws are pretty dumb.

I doubt it as OP said earlier in the thread she wouldn't mind them taking it up in the evenings when they're teenagers 😥

SS could care less about parents smoking weed. Just because it makes you clutch your pearls tightly, does not mean other, more reasonable people care that OP enjoys an illegal substance. Please get a grip.

No never, can easily go away for 2 weeks and not miss it.

I don't care whether you do or don't but if you can give it up for 2 weeks, why start again?

isthismylifenow · 03/05/2023 16:28

The responses OP 😂

It's not illegal where I live, and tbh when I read your title thread I didn't bat an eyelid as to me it is not a big deal.

But it was still in active some hours later so had a scroll through.

I was waiting for, and wasn't wrong that very soon there would be a 'its not a race to the bottom's post. And there it was .

I think once it becomes legalized, there won't be so much tutting going on.

I can tell you that I would much rather sit and chat / socialise with a group who had smoked a joint or two over a group drinking brandy and hard tack.

Because she likes it? Because it’s a way of relaxing? Because actually, if you go gently it’s a nice feeling? Much like everyone who has a glass of wine to take the edge off their day.

The naivety on this forum about drugs is astounding. There are far more people doing it than you’d think - teachers, doctors, lawyers. And let’s not even get started on coke.

StillNotYou · 03/05/2023 16:40

Haha, this thread is hilarious - well done @takecareteddybear 😂

I have a good mate who smokes week every night (also at the bottom of her garden). She's an ace mum, extremely good at her job, has never smelt of week apart from just after actually smoking it (late in the evening)... I'd far rather leave her in charge of kids than most of the "moderate" wine drinkers I know.

DH was injured badly years ago in the armed forces. He struggled with pain management for years. Tried some & it worked amazingly for him, he never introduced it to me I had already tried it many times in my youth but I did eventually start having one with him each night. Kids are never around or aware of it.

but I did eventually start having one with him each night. Kids are never around or aware of it.

How does that work then? If you are smoking every night where are your kids? And, you're wrong, they will be aware

dontgobaconmyheart · 03/05/2023 16:42

Will you be disappointed if/when your children pick up the habit?

bloodywhitecat · 03/05/2023 16:43

You keep ignoring the question about county lines, would you be happy for your children to be pulled into it or is it something that other kids should do and not yours?

BSB30 · 03/05/2023 16:44

@lillkim500 It's legal in Nevada and when I went to Vegas on holiday, the constant smell was vile. Put me off ever going back.

CarpeDiemCarpeDontem · 03/05/2023 16:44

Do all the people wishing to legalise it really not care about inflicting the smell on people? You might not mind it, but to me it’s the vilest smell ever and constantly ruins my enjoyment of the outside. I wish people would just make brownies or something so we don’t have to smell it 🥲 my bedroom gets to 32° in the summer and I can’t open the windows because of the smell!

Cherrysherbet · 03/05/2023 16:45

No matter what you think, you do smell of it.

I work in a supermarket and we can smell potheads who are in a different aisle! Often they are with children, and I feel so sorry for them. I always wonder if they realise that they stink, but you’ve just confirmed….obviously not!

I judge you I’m afraid. This is not something to be proud of.

potniatheron · 03/05/2023 16:46

What's your munchie of choice?

Mine used to be toast with butter, peanut butter and marmite.

I'm in 12 step recovery now tho

Velvian · 03/05/2023 16:46

Are you happy that your DC, their school, your neighbours and anyone that visits you may know that you smoke weed, or may know at any point in the future?
