I smoke weed everyday AMA

Hey! Bored and thought this could be fun. As I've said above I smoke cannabis daily, Have done for years. Only in the evening. I'm a mum and my DH does too. If anyone has any questions ask away :-)

@viques I understand that but I never smoke in the house, don't keep it in the house, the smoke is nowhere near the house, bags, books, clothes etc. I shower either before bed or in the morning (wash hair everyday due to running/gym and greesy hair). my house is often a hub for my kids and their friends, their parents call in to pick them up, stay for a cuppa etc no ones raised any concerns or mentioned a smell? Either way no one has ever mentioned it to me and grandparents (very anti smoking) often come for meals and again have never mentioned a smell (very opinionated and wouldn't be scared to voice them) maybe, just maybe..it is possible not to smell and you are only coming into contact with the people who do smoke in their homes or around their children etc.

Sorry, I meant as in typically there's a far greater risk of being stabbed if the person with the grievance is under the influence of alcohol. I have teenage boys who fortunately don't know anyone like this but I've read a few heartbreaking cases reported in the press.

It’s not precious though is it? Cannabis IS illegal and it IS fuelling the county lines issues. Whether or not it should be legal is a different argument

Do you realise how easy it is to grow cannabis? The majority of dealers grow it themselves.

I used to have 5 seazures a DAY!!! Now I get 1 a week. You would rather I xarry on fitting (by the way, I have dislocated my hip, broken 4 ribs, hurt my neck, slipped 5 discs and now 1.5 inches shorter than I was... but if you don't agree with it fir medical reasons I had better stop...right away, where can I send my medical bills...by the way, my kids watching their mother go in to seazure and get awful injures is OK is it@

You do smoke around your children. Or do you and your OH huddle outside on the patio in the rain and the snow during winter months?

@intrestedvic can I ask what you pay for your medical cannabis? I've had lower back issue for many years and hate taking the prescription drugs because they cause so many side effects

@viques you must know me really well to be so sure of that. We have a patio with a canopy at the top of the garden, also a summerhouse, either are fine. DH actually erected his little smoking area last year so that we wouldn't be near the house.

All drug use is fuelling the illegal trade in drugs. So by smoking it every day you are putting money into organised crime. The major producers of alcoholic beverages may not be saints, but they don’t engage in organised crime either. And yeah alcohol can be very damaging, but at least it’s taxed and the proceeds go into public service. The same can’t be said about illegal drugs. The negative health impacts of cannabis are known too. If you still choose to do it knowing all this then that’s entirely up to you obviously. I think it’s quite a sad reflection of your life that you need drugs to relax. But that’s me.

That sounds awful 😞. My comment was in relation to myself. It would not be something I could get on board with, even for medicinal purposes but if it helps you, that is completely your decision.

Never smoked in front of kids when they were in bed would go to bottom of garden no I didn't have neighbours unless you count xhickens, cows znd sheep, there was a farm house but it wasn't even close

Take it you both grow your own then and don’t use a dealer. I’m sure all cannabis growing operations are on a small scale by very nice people.

Don’t think it’s any worse than drinking every day and plenty do that. It’s just a bit of weed.

I smoke cigarettes and NEVER smoke indoors. So yes, people do go outside in all weathers. I just use an umbrella because I don't want the house to smell like smoke or my children to inhale it. It's not like years ago when people had ashtrays in their living rooms. The few people I know who smoke all do it outside their homes too.

I know u have mentioned that ur children don't know about it, but what if they did find out? Would you stop? Or would it become normal and then u would be ok with them smoking everyday?

I do not have a relationship with my biological father due to him smoking everyday since age of 14 and it has turned him into a very paranoid person , who has maturity of about 15 years old.

Lots of people commute crime because of alcohol thou… like fighting criminal damage and stealing to pay for it. Not sure it’s any better or worse than weed

I think medical cannabis is fantastic and from the small studies I have read, some of its potential is absolutely massive and can completely change peoples lives.

But cannabis bought for medical purposes which is grown in a lab is much safer and usually you don’t smoke it, whereas smoking cannabis bought off the street has way higher levels of THC and of course the smoking part is the worst part.

Although I understand why people would feel the need to buy it off the street as I can imagine the cost of medical cannabis is extortionate but I think people are very silly to smoke it knowing the irreversible damage that smoking does (not to mention how disgusting smoking is too).

Everyone wanging on about the smell... cigarette smoke absolutely fucking reeks, worse than weed imo.

That’s what I thought, I didn’t think you smoked medical cannabis.
For what it’s worth I think there is strong argument for the legalisation of cannabis, my point was if you by it from the street you are complicit in the illegal drugs trade whether you like it or not. The holier than thou it’s only a bit of weed really minimises all the issues that come with it being illegal and don’t help the argument for it to be legalised. IYSWIM.

It's awful. I'm embarrassed I smoke and fully aware how I will smell to a non smoker. Disgusting habit that's so difficult to break.

On that note, has anyone ever used hypnotherapy to stop smoking and it's worked? (Sorry to hijack the thread but I really do want to quit!)
