Just to say I got through my first ever Christmas without chocolate this year - didn't miss it at all; didn't even think about it! Thank you yet again @Eyesopenwideawake

Hi, I'd love your recommendation for a hypnotherapist that works with teenagers. And I'd love a link to your videos too, if that's ok! 🙂

Yes it feels fantastic and was so easy - getting that constant struggle out of my head and making friends with my subconscious has changed my life in so many positive ways 🙂

Hi, @Eyesopenwideawake hope you are OK. I've been wondering if hypnotherapy could help my DS (16) who has a needle phobia/anxiety. He's so behind in the immunisation programme and I worry so much about his catching meningitis (he's in sixth form). Is this something we could try, he has autism and isn't particularly chatty, I hope he would engage but couldn't swear he would... But if it's worth trying anyway I would. We live in NW England and can travel.

TIA

Hi @ShodAndShadySenators

I'd very much recommend talking to my colleague Therese Langford of https://www.facebook.com/calmmindhypnotherapy - she specialises in working with children and needle phobia is an issue that generally response very well to remedial hypnosis. Good luck!

I've recently had a short course of remedial hypnotherapy with @Eyesopenwideawake which has proved life changing. She is a brilliant listener, and provides sensible and wise counselling which perfectly complements the hypnotherapy. Her calm demeanor, gentle humour and empathy make her brilliant at what she does. I'd thoroughly recommend if you're struggling to let go of trauma.

Eyesopenwideawake · 06/01/2025 18:36

@boobashka Thank you for your kind words, it was lovely figuring stuff out with you 😊

Hello. Eyes open. I have extreme indecisiveness which is ruining my life. Could hypnotherapy help with this? I've had it before for other issues and it didn't help as I just didn't let go at all. Is there such a thing as being unhypnotisable? There's always a part of me still thinking and resisting.

MsGoodenough · 01/02/2025 12:12

Please could you send me the video OP?

Because there's no trance involved in remedial hypnosis the issue of 'letting go' isn't relevant, it's much more of a talking therapy, albeit that the conversation is with the subconscious mind.

It is the case that about 10% of people don't respond to this type of therapy (I don't know why, perhaps there isn't the rapport or the timing is wrong) which is why we always have the free/no obligation initial consultation to make sure it is going to work.

Will send you a link to the video channel (there are a few now 😁)

I had hypnotherapy for a long-standing needle phobia (after a horrible experience as a child) and it worked completely - whereas before I couldn’t even contemplate the thought, I am now more than happy to have injections and blood tests.

ShodAndShadySenators · 06/02/2025 21:44

That's great news @Alwaysplayspicc. So pleased it's worked for you!

Lovely to hear your success story. One of my case studies was a lady with a needle phobia which we cleared just as her cancer treatment began.

That’s wonderful!
I had my hypnotherapy when I was pregnant with my eldest child, as I knew I would need to have blood tests.
It was so effective for my needle phobia that I then went on to have further sessions in preparation for giving birth, and went in to have both my babies with no fear and no pain relief.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer exactly a year ago and am extremely glad I didn’t still have the worry of needles.
I’m now planning on having more hypnotherapy as I have developed a fear of enclosed spaces, including aeroplanes.
