In line to the throne, but not by several hundred thousand so not worth googling.

I have interesting dress sense.

AMA.

Even if you married a Chatto you'd still be a commoner.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 13/07/2018 23:25

How many generations back are you to a King or Queen?
e.g. Edward VII or Queen Victoria or are we talking a great many times grandparent before that?

JaneJeffer · 13/07/2018 23:28

Do you present a TV programme?

BischBaschBosch · 13/07/2018 23:34

This is just a normal person!!!! 😂😂😂

AlmostAMinorRoyal · 13/07/2018 23:40

Yes, I still shop in Tesco although I have a friend whose butler does that sort of thing for her.

No, I don't have a corgi.

OP, I’m sure you went to an incredibly posh school but I don’t think they prepared you for Mumsnet. People want to know exactly how close to royalty you are, and what title someone 4 generations ago had.

So far you’ve told us you live in a big house and shop at tesco.

Clionba · 14/07/2018 09:40

You live in a big house and shop at Tesco
I live in a big house and shop at Waitrose, so I must be even more royal GrinGrin

CatkinToadflax · 14/07/2018 09:46

My DM is listed in Burke's Peerage (which I suppose, by default, means I am too). I went to the village state school and now live in a very ordinary 3 bedroom house and shop at Aldi. AMA! Grin Or maybe don't!

RunningjustasfastasIcan99 · 14/07/2018 11:12

AMA. but I won't answer. I'll try again. What is your net worth?

BaronessBlonde · 14/07/2018 13:29

This has the most pathetic one of these AMA threads

AlmostAMinorRoyal · 14/07/2018 15:28

It's rather nonU to discuss money.

There's an Edward in there.

So you're probably less nearly Royal than alot of people on MN. How boring.

RunMummyRun68 · 14/07/2018 15:38

Omg!!! What a disappointment

mimibunz · 14/07/2018 15:59

Are you an artist?

Armchairanarchist · 14/07/2018 16:13

I went to college with someone with a title. I only realised because I saw her passport. She was well spoken but unkempt and mad as a box of frogs. Her father was aristocracy but she would never have considered herself almost royal. I think a lot of MN could probably find a title within a few generations.

Clionba · 14/07/2018 16:19

So not even vaguely almost a minor royal. How disappointing. Pointless.

Flowerfae · 14/07/2018 17:01

One of my friend's father was a Lord (title passed on to her brother) you wouldn't know (other then her being very well spoken) she doesn't live in a big house, her brother inherited everything and they are not in contact anymore.

Floradoranora · 14/07/2018 17:06

If you’re Lady Colin Campbell you’re latest book is ugly.

StarkDismay · 14/07/2018 17:38

I was at a hunt meet once and thanks was given to the hostess of the meet Lady Xxx. I turned to my friend and asked if she knew who the hostess was as I hadn’t heard the name before, and she said ‘oh, it’s me, silly!’ I’d never heard her called Lady Xxx, I just know her as Susan. My other friend who has a hereditary title doesn’t go on about it either. A lady who came to buy a horse off me once did though. She’d married a minor royal and used that fact to try and haggle me right down in price. I told her to clear off.

JaneJeffer · 14/07/2018 17:58

It's definitely Kirsty Alsopp

nervousnails · 14/07/2018 18:47

@clionba my boss lives in Knightsbridge and shops at Harrods. She must be the queen, by this OP's logic. Grin

AornisHades · 14/07/2018 18:52

Catkin DH is in Burkes too. We haven't seen a copy in years so I don't know if me & the dc are but I think probably not.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 14/07/2018 18:53

Have you met Liz and Phil?

Clionba · 14/07/2018 18:55

@nervousnails Grin
@AornisHades you are actually minor royalty!
