I know you said arranged and not forced as there's a huge huge difference between the two but would you have been allowed to say no without feeling guilty or having your parents be angry at you?

I hope you and your husband are very happy. I have been to an arranged (possibly forced) marriage as a guest and it was horribly sad, so clear neither of them wanted it. How did you feel when your parents told you who you would marry? What sort of contact did you have before the wedding?

If you didn't want to marry him, would your parents have forced you to marry him?
