Is there much money in being a make up artist?

Oh I've already done bio oil and have actually spent thousands on intensive treatment, including laser. Was just unsure about makeup tips which would fill in the indents, if such makeup exists!

Microdermabrasion does nothing whatsoever for actual scars unfortunately. It would be nice as it's fairly cheap.

@MissCharleyP Use a setting powder, and pack it all over face with a beauty blender, leave for 10 minutes and then brush off.

@Wattonearth raise eyebrows when applying. If you pull it, it will give you wrinkles. Raising eyebrows makes skin taut without making it wrinkled.

@midnightmisssuki they are coloured primers that reduce discolouration on face. Google the colour wheel. For example, green combats red.

I loved benefit cream eyeshadows but they have discontinued them Sad. Can you recommend a replacement please? Anything I see in the shops is either powder or liquid and I want cream!

Ooh ooh op

I've got terrible skin

It's mostly under control thanks to various products but how do I create a smooth even base that covers up:
Acne scarring
Nose pores
Under eye circles
Blotchy skin with occasional break outs

Thankfully at 42 I don't have lines yet - the only advantage to all the over enthusiastic oil production!

I've recently discovered kevyn aucoin
His stuff is excellent including the neo powder blush and highlighter and foundation. I used to use ysl but his is far superior good coverage but not matte or heavy and is as light as bb.

And also another charlotte tilbury recommendation for wonderglow. Agree this is superb.
I don't rate her foundation as is weird consistency and a bit heavy but her lipsticks and skincare - the dry masks are ever so weird but amazing (but pricey) - and the magic night cream and beauty balm are great. Oh and the goddess clay mask is also lovely. I buy alot of her stuff.

Should be on commission for the above Smile

Loving the make up artistes.

Personally I like Burts Beegees and Estee Lauper.

I’m starting to get faint laughter lines just under my eyes and above the bridge of my nose.
Please tell me how to get rid of them without Botox... what make up will cover them (I’m in my 30’s if you need to know Grin )

Why do I always end up looking like I’m wearing no makeup even if I put on tons? Eg primer, B.B. cream, eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner and blusher. An hour later it’s all gone.

@thatcoolpirate try pile cream. It really works, google it.
