Problems with your makeup - ask me anything.

@Mimsy123 I meant anything about cosmetics, these people aren't even real, stop spamming me or I will report to MNHQ.

For some reason foundation on my hose and forehead always goes patchy. I've tried different blenders and brushes and foundations and primers. It always looks nice on my cheeks and chin. Any ideas?

vanillasky1001 · 01/07/2018 17:43

What the flipping hell is the difference between primer, tinted moisturiser, B.B. cream and CC cream.....

tiny2278 · 01/07/2018 17:44

**nose

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:46

tiny2278 try applying with a beauty blender or a professional brush, or exfoliating those places. Or a new foundation.

Best eyeshadow colours for blue eyes?

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:51

@vanillasky1001 primer is a product you use to prep skin for makeup, tinted moisturiser is a moisturiser with pigment, B.B. cream is a light coverage foundation with skincare benefits. It also has spf. Cc cream is colour correction cream, you use it to colour correct the skin without using coloured concealers and covering with foundation, it has colour correction properties mixed with a light coverage foundation. Out of them all, I find a cc to be best.

givenchycallsmyname Please congratulate the surgeon, your sense of humour bypass was a complete success Grin Is it Philip(stick) Bailey then?

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 17:56

@ManchesterGin warm reds, warm browns and such likes are best. The naked heat palette by urban decay would be ideal. Or should I say eyedeal. Stay away from blues, purples, greens and such, you need a contrast. Try the naked heat if looking for a new palette.

Favourite song, return of the MAC?

sorry I just couldn't help it Grin

Useful hints though, that mascara looks good and can vouch for Charlotte tilbury magic cream. Her stuff is fab

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 18:01

@Candypinkstars Yours is fine because you also contributed something worthwhile unlike @Mimsy123 please don't spam me like her.

What is the best foundation for very dry skin. Sometimes mine looks okay but after an hour or so you can see how it has dried into patches on my skin.
I have a comprehensive skin care routine. Currently use either Charlotte Tilbury Magic or Clinique CC cream. Thanks.

Sweets123 · 01/07/2018 18:05

What is the best way to cover melasma patches on the face? Even with primer, foundation and high coverage concealer they still show through. Thank you

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 18:05

@beardedlobster nars sheer glow is best. Keep your makeup dewy, as if it is matte it will make your skin look dry and crusty. Dewy is the best for dry skin. Try nars sheer glow.

I won't, promises.

user1471599384 · 01/07/2018 18:14

Great thread, in tandem for for wedding season Smile What’s best for blurring pores and keeping combination skin matt? Considering how flash photography can wash colours out, how much more eye makeup do you suggest applying?

givenchycallsmyname · 01/07/2018 18:19

@user1471599384 use a silicone primer for blurring pores. For eye makeup do neutral, but glamorous. And use a foundation just slightly__ darker so you don't get washed out in flash photos.

OP

You’re very rude. You don’t “own” the thread.

Plus, what’s your AIBU?

Mimsy123 · 01/07/2018 19:09

SmileEachDay Spot on, the attitude was all a bit bizarre really Smile. You’ve got a cracking name, by the way. I wish everyone was a little more happy!

Mimsy123 · 01/07/2018 19:12

Anyway, makeup related musicians (this isn’t a question OP, it’s an observation)

(bl)USHER.

Any acne scarring tips? (Actual indentations and uneven skin, not red marks) 😊

Bombardier25966 · 01/07/2018 19:18

Mimsy123 wins the thread for humour.

OP doesn't understand the concept of "ask me anything".

Mimsy123 · 01/07/2018 19:22

Thank you Bombardier Grin
