Just seen that this thread is about a different issue, apologies!

You can't underestimate the strength and speed of someone in a mental health crisis.

Bobbymoore123 · 05/08/2026 18:29

This is just an obtuse conversation about personal and media bias. Cloaking it in fear mongering isn't productive.

You're right to raise the issue. There's so much evidence of the lack of effective mental health support. I know this area and although there's always been a cohort of mentally vulnerable / homeless people living there, the numbers have escalated massively in recent years.

ginasevern · 05/08/2026 18:31

@Echobelly "Jesus Christ, can't some of you give your obsession a rest?!"

Men who have committed violent crimes have been described by the press and the police as women. If a suspect for example is reported as black when in fact they're white, it is dangerous misinformation for the public at large. It also affects statistics for those communities and a whole host of other issues. This should concern everyone and is in no way a trivial matter.

What is the fear mongering happening here?

Because all women are desperately frail creatures, whose only social role is victimhood.
If there has been any violence then obviously it must have been caused by a man on account of his penis- because that is what having a penis does to people. Catch up! ☺️

Don’t be silly

The police have lied before.

This thread is questioning this particular incident because of the numerous police lies in the past.

PussyGaylore · 05/08/2026 18:37

It does seem logistically unlikely. ‘She’ would have to stab and remove the scissors to go onto the next person - that would take a lot of strength - I await further info but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a bloke in a frock.
edited as autocorrect originally said blonde in a frock

It's more that we are aware of probability, crime statistics and previous incidents of the police misreporting sex.

Catch up.

The police often lie about this.

See this media release from Greater Manchester Police about Naomi, actually Nathan, O'Brien.

Referred to as a woman, using the pronoun"she". No mention of the fact that the offender is male.

It's funny you should say this, because at one point, trans activists online seemed to universally have "ACAB" slogans emblazoned across their social media profiles.

The BBC following the line coming from the police initially reported this man as a woman - and had to apologise for being misleading :

Assuming every crime involving a female suspect is secretly a trans woman until proven otherwise isn't "questioning the news". It's an unhealthy obsession. You didn't wait for any facts; you jumped straight to a conspiracy theory because you're so fixated on trans people that you start imagining they're involved in crimes even when there's no evidence at all.

This.

This is a vile thread.

What Nonsense

I think the title appearing in "Trending" has caused some to jump straight in and miss where the thread is happening.

Or maybe we are all vile ?

But who is the most vile ?

This.

This is a vile thread.

It amazes me at how overly sensitive activists get.

The thread simply questions media narrative and due to repeated past occurrences. Strange that when people have questioned whether a man is responsible, you've assumed man = trans woman.

In this instance it appears that the police and media reporting were correct. But once bitten, twice shy.

MarilynMerlot · 05/08/2026 18:53

Used to work in inpatient. Never underestimate the capability of a woman completely divorced from reality. They can actually be incredibly hard to subdue and very quick.

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 05/08/2026 18:53

The mushroom-identifying people can't be the most vile, because every single one of them is a fun guy.

Thank you, thank you, I'm here all week.

Please don't exaggerate.

The crimes discussed are those that are rarely committed by women.

Personally, I would suggest that many of the men who experience sudden onset post arrest gender dysphoria are pulling a fast one, but you can make your own judgement on that.

All we care about is accurate reporting of sex.

AstonUniversityPotholeDepartment · 05/08/2026 18:56

All we care about is accurate reporting of sex.

And accurate reporting of scientific taxonomy. Oh, and I get quite aerated about misunderstandings of PAYE tax bands.

RunningforSam · 05/08/2026 18:57

The point of the thread is that past misreporting and obfuscation has led to people mistrusting what is being reported.

The likelihood of a female randomly stabbing unknown males is very small because it is highly unusual for females to commit violent crimes. Questioning the reported sex of the perpetrator is unsurprising because (1) this is highly unusual (2) on several occasions, males crimes have been reported as female crimes due to male perpetrators holding trans identities.

Posters misinterpreting the thread as being about people assuming a violent crime was likely to be committed by a male with a trans identity are missing the point, which is that it’s more likely to be a male committing this type of crime.
