They are a household domestic item

Yes I know knives are household items but a knife has aggression affiliated with it. Scissors have domesticity associated with them.

I dont think it would be many men's weapon of choice.

My first reaction was, was it a real woman, I went in search of other information on the story because until I see a picture of the alleged stabber, I'm not taking anyone's word for it.

Such is the way of things now, because of this counterfactual ideology that has undermined everything that didn't need questioning or verifying before.

You do need to look at a variety of news sources and even then entire subjects don't make it to the news cycle.

I think it was a turkish station on satellite channels that did a nice international round up at a time I was sat watching TV that was eye opening - then it stopped or changed times.

I keep seeing ground news being advertised on you tube - they rate the bias and reliablity of the news sources for stories. Biasis have always been there and always will be but to need a service like that suggests impartaillity is in decline or people struggle to work out what they are now.

I used to think the BBC tried for unbias and factural as possible - but even before covid I think that had slipped a lot or just gone out the window.

And I don't particularly trust them to start with.

I think the BBC has spent a long time trading off the fact that many people think it has a duty to be unbiased and therefore must be. So it's been able to be as biased as fuck for ages and people didn't really question that for a while.

Another here whose first thought was to doubt the veracity of the reports. And that's the point of the thread, @Velvera ; not what the actual sex of the assailant is, but that the hysterically partisan and dishonest reporting of the BBC over the last 15 years have left us unable to trust that it won't prioritise its proselytising editorial stance over the truth.

It's the BBC that have got it wrong, equating "unbiased" with "uncritical".

True they have proven to be an unreliable source at times - and frankly there are concerns about how the are run beyond that.

One of my issues with current world is I tend to believe Iran over Trump the president of the United States - TBH Iran probably not an entirely good source of information I just judge them as more reliable than US administration.

Was this the first post to express sympathy with the men who have been stabbed?

Whereas the first post hints at disbelief that the male victims were unable to disarm their attacker, which has undercurrents of victim blaming....

I think we can be certain that whatever the agenda of Iran, it almost certainly does not encompass the goal of making the Trump family richer and more powerful and the first monarchs of the US. Which means their have more integrity than the US political system right now.

And they are a barbaric religious regime. It shouldn't be this way round.
