Zack Polanski is making things bigger yet again so another thread needed.

Well things have developed rather a lot since the start. ZP started out as being another sexist guy in politics - no shortage those around, but he thought he could take it to a new level and he proved he could do it.

The Green threads have followed his rise from the start of with the Hypnoboobs scandal and much more. There is also:

Mothin Ali as deputy Leader who clearly doesn't believe in trans thinking, but cleverly sidesteps round talking about it, has always had a issues with encouraging racist violence and is now encouraging people to sue the Green party if they attempt to stop them saying racist stuff.

The other deputy Rachel Millward represents the posh rich faction of the Greens who manages to sounding like Reform when opposing Asylum Seekers in her area, but at the same time saying we are too harsh on immigrants in general. Obviously she also doesn't believe women are a thing. Yet she is the least crazy when violence is concerned compared to ZP, and Mothin.

Hypnoboobs scandal got worse recently when it became clear from BBC footage ZP actively believed in the Hypnoboobs thesis rather than being tricked into it.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn9enygvezeo

Alongside all this there is constant ongoing attacks on biological reality from the party in interviews and in policy.

Now in the last week or so after a longstanding spate of antisemetic rhetoric from some Greens during the election campaign and ZP downplaying it. We have synagogues, schools, ambulances attacked, two Jewish people dead and ZP berating unarmed police for risking their lives in fighting a violent killer who was still armed with a knife things have come to a crisis point.

The Greens are becoming ever more sinister with dozens of candidates sounding like they are seventies NF supporters with comments about uppity women and Jewish power. The huge drama over a crazy motion which they were trying to pass against Israel at conference alongside a motion to prevent women having sports will surface again their September conference.

It seems likely after next week The Greens are going to be running a bunch of councils which doesn't bode well after their antics in Bristol.

Yet there is hope, in Bristol women are fighting back_: www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5455053-bristol-council-is-about-to-be-sued_

The fight back from Green Women's Declaration, ( https://www.greenwomensdeclaration.uk/ ) continues and the court cases against GPEW from Emma Bateman and Shahrar Ali are developing, both getting through legal delaying tactics as they move to trial. Gardening is needed. These cases if successful could be dramatic in their impact.

First thread - where you can follow the rise of ZP and lots of other scandal

Second Thread:
https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5456759-sexismother-issues-in-the-green-party-england-wales-discussion-thread-2?

Note the Scottish Greens which are a separate party to the Green Party England/Wales have their own thread for all their sexist drama. They split off because GPEW didn't hate biology and women/gays enough at the time.

Looks at Green councils across UK facing challenges:

From protests to painful reality: Greens mark 100 days in power

Opposition councillors say the Greens are picking battles they can ill afford. Kings Hall Leisure Centre in Hackney, for example, is undergoing a multimillion-pound revamp and is expected to reopen in 2029. But will it have a space where women can undress out of view of biological males? Or will it not? The architects at FaulknerBrowns will not say.
Garbett has vowed “maximum trans inclusion across all we do”, effectively ending single-sex spaces in the borough. It would potentially expose the council to years of expensive discrimination claims from women’s groups, who will have the national government, the Equality and Human Rights Commission and the Supreme Court on their side.
Hackney council did not respond to questions around how it would pay to defend those discrimination claims.

Other gnarly problems are looming, mainly financial. Before Tammy Hymas became deputy leader of Haringey council, the transgender councillor and activist spent three years on campaigns and advocacy at Mermaids, the controversial charity that was investigated by the regulator for handing out chest binders to children as young as 13 without their parents’ knowledge. Now, she’s leading a council that remains in dire financial straits after years of spending cuts. Haringey is one of 35 councils receiving “exceptional financial support” this financial year, having to borrow £84 million from government to balance the budget.

This was telling:

Power and votes are flooding from the centre to the populist fringes; failed by establishment parties and a stagnant economy, voters are embracing ideologies that once seemed discredited. Blue-chip respectability is no longer a requirement for politicians, or even an asset, as technology lets insurgents fire up supporters in new ways.
Polanski is both an agent and avatar of these changes. From one perspective, he is an improbable leader of a maverick party. From another, he is a natural expression of the political moment. As I came to understand, Polanski is a man who needs a public—and he has found one that requires an underdog leader just like him.

Lalgarh · 19/08/2026 12:28

Couple of things. Polanski was simultaneously berating the press for reporting the inconsistent claims from Prof Jason Arday that is meant to have created the climate that led to his death, whilst earlier in the week berating the press for failing to report enough TRUTH on climate change, and one of them unforgivably reporting that the warm weather has been quite nice.

One thing they've been reporting on is a green party WhatsApp group that discussed killing Zionists.

Polanski in that Economist article was actually a member of some organisation with that in his youth.

Also it turns out that green councillor on Bristol who was cleared by the charity commission and who celebrated the 7 October attacks met the politician Rukhsar Ahmed wanted in connection with grooming gang offences whilst he's at large in Kashmir

I'm all for regulating the press to stop them from giving the oxygen of publicity to the misinformation and lies told by the crappy people they interview.

More important news on the Bolton drama apparently Hannah Spencer's mum is involved:

On one side there’s your dyed-in-the-wool party members — among them Liz Spencer, mother of Hannah, who first joined the Green Party when it was still called the Ecology Party, though she tells me she expects to be expelled after what she’s told me for this article. She tells me just how the party has changed in the last few months: “It’s not what the Green party used to be; nice people who wore hemp shoes. That opened the door for lots of less than nice people to enter. And no one was primed for it.”

This article which is mostly paidonly has apparently lots of details on the saga:
https://manchestermill.co.uk/green-party-councillors-bolton-spencer-alli-khan/

Meanwhile the Greens have elected Eli Folan one of the more unhinged male and threatening twitter activists who claims to be female to a women only place. Thread here:

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/5568787-the-green-party-and-the-word-female?reply=154258080

This is in fact illegal. If parties choose to have women only role they are for women only. It was the whole reason the SNP lost in court.

Unison tried this and just lost.

Union disciplined after man campaigns for woman-only role
https://www.christian.org.uk/news/union-disciplined-after-man-campaigns-for-woman-only-role/

In fact the Greens themselves have been wary of breaking the law they tried to make it clear when they had the last set of leadership elections in 2026 which have provisions for either a male and female leadership or a male and female deputy leadership that they had to respect reality in this matter.

So could be a big fall out from this.

Breaking - another huge Green scandal -

A Green party councillor in Leeds is calling on the Greens to suspend Mothin Ali based on, it appears, the misuse of a special responsibility allowance for Leeds Councillors. Seems Mothin was using Leeds money for national Green business for a while probally knowing Mothin I suspect mostly spent on stuff to do with the Midfdle East:

Speaking of less than nice people, the Trans activist running the Stats For Lefties twitter account has got themselves elected to some sort of council in Norwich off the back of support from greens for Palestine

https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:pmfr2bkbibydlklaovqkj62m/post/3mtgroyauj22f.

https://x.com/LeftieStats/status/2090037047016685674?s=46&t=0QxhPBQgIQA3AGFXbWtrZA

It's adorbs that Eleanora (who has dropped the Gaelic spelling of his name I see) is peppering every comment with insha'Allah. Even rabid Windy this time last year was vaguely self aware enough to be goading Mothin Ali for not signing the LGBTQ pledge sensing somehow there might be issues over inclusivity . Not this one

Tyron (@tyron.bsky.social)

Lol, she won. LeftieStats on the Green Party's governing council now with that absolutely mental platform that the Green Party was being "sabotaged from within" by Zionists https://x.com/leftiestats/status/2090037047016685674?s=46&t=0QxhPBQgIQA3AGFXbWt...

'UK Green activist who celebrated Iran’s ‘resistance’ elected to party council
Eleanora Folan had praised Tehran’s ‘courageous fight against the imperialist dogs’

ArabellaScott · 20/08/2026 13:47

'A Green Party activist who appeared to celebrate Iran’s attacks in the war in the Middle East has been elected to a key internal party council.
Eleanora Folan posts under the name Stats for Lefties on social media.
In June, her accounts posted, “Glory to the Iranian resistance, whose courageous fight against the imperialist dogs of the USA has utterly humiliated the Great Satan.”
The post also expressed hope that Israel would be “abolished” and included an image of the Iranian flag.
The Green Party on Wednesday said she had been elected by members in East Anglia as a representative to the party’s governing council.
The party, which has grown rapidly since the election of Zack Polanski as leader last year, has been accused of failing to tackle extremism among its members.
Support for Iran is particularly notable, given that Tehran-aligned actors have been linked to attacks in the UK, including on Jewish, Israeli and Iranian dissident targets.
Last month the UK designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist group.'

With the FT saying this about Folan can't wait for to see the reaction from the Mail and others.

Apparently there are a bunch of internal Green complaints about Folan trapped in the Greens overloaded complaints system. It can deal with women who think they exist rapidly though.

Press has not yet picked up the Mothin Ali Leeds cash scandal yet. Only a matter of time.

These are essentially "celebrity" hirings. Like Sophie Pot noodle or Akhmed Yakoob (now there's a trio). Stats for lefties is very well known on twitter and Bluesky and essentially one of the Valkyries that will form part of any pitchfork wielding mob when pointed to An Enemy of The Left who has outed themselves for being a Terrible Person (going to Israel. Eating KFC. Mentioning Harry Potter books without a mea culpa. Take your pick). Stats has a huge online presence but once the normal people who aren't online all day hear about him (and they will say him) they'll be like "what about bins?" At best.
Or they'll find some of his old tweets.

Someone like Yakoob is robust to ride that out because he has some semblance of a support network and frankly doesn't care what majority Britons think of him. If his relatives shunned him it would be different. Stats for lefties? Can you see him being put up to defend a green policy that allows say free Sunday parking in Norwich city centre on the local politics news programmes? They'd laugh at him.

Lalgarh · 21/08/2026 00:16

Looks like he's doubling down. As expected. I have a vague memory that he complains about being targeted BC he's disabled and I think gets allowance for whatever conditions he's got. I can't remember how or what interaction there has been with Mothin Ali and the "authentic" Guzza (that's how it's pronounced, as he pointed out) activists or global majority greens. I'm sure some sort of accomodation can be reached with Baggy Khan et al

TheywontletmehavethenameIwant · 21/08/2026 06:18

When are these papers going to stop referring to he's as she's, they mentioned he won the female seat without mentioning he's a male. 😤
