Anyone TTC after a recent early loss and wanting support? (Aug 26)

Hi, I thought I’d start a separate thread for anyone who is TTC after a recent early loss, so we can support each other through what can be a really difficult time. 💕

I’m 39 and TTC for my first. I conceived after around four cycles, but sadly had a missed miscarriage mid-July at around 9 weeks, (development had stopped at 6).

I stopped bleeding last Sunday and have started noticing some cervical mucus returning over the past few days, so I’m hoping my body is beginning to get back into its normal rhythm.

I’m still testing positive on pregnancy tests, so can’t use LH strips to track ovulation yet, so for now, my plan is to get back to some exercise, eating well and have sex every 2-3 days. I’m feeling positive and hopeful but also trying to take my mind off the waiting!

If anyone else is going through something similar and would like to share the journey and support each other x

How are you @Pottingsheddays, are you still experiencing cramping?

I’m sorry you had a negative @Posypear, I hope you are okay and fingers crossed for better news next cycle

How are you feeling @Maybebby , are you having any symptoms?

I’m now CD12, still very light bleeding and testing low on CB. For last few days, there’s nothing in the day and I’m hopeful it’s finally over, and then each evening I see fresh red blood! It’s very light so I’m not too worried but it is more than spotting and we just want to get back to trying again so I’m feeling really impatient!

@Springcloud26 zero symptoms, like nothing. Was so sure I was out this month however I tested last night (mad I know as it’s so early😂) but there was a very faint line! Then a darker one this morning. Happy but it’s always so uncertain this early so I’m trying to keep calm and have a sensible head on about it.

thats frustrating your still waiting! I also just wanted to get back in to trying too it’s all so much waiting in the TTC game😥 I hope it stops soon and your fertile days begin!🙏

Thank you, yep I just feel like time is slipping by, in my head I’ve missed the equivalent of 2 cycles and those additional chances with the time this is all taking!

@Springcloud26 thank you! I will test again tomorrow then we go away with family so I won’t be able to test till Monday!😬 so we’ll just sit tight and see what happens.

i know, it’s incredibly frustrating and difficult. But hopefully your body is just taking its time to readjust and settle and things will be back on track soon. When do you normally ovulate?

@Maybebby I’ve only really tracked for one cycle and that’s when I had my MMC, so taking it as a positive that when I got my timing right I conceived. I started seeing a high on CB from CD11 and then I surged with LH CD21. So I know in the scheme of things if I stop bleeding today / tomorrow I could see a high soon. And maybe the build up will be shorter and I’ll still ovulate around CD22?

My main worry is entering my fertile window and being too close to ovulation when not having chance to dtd.

I’m definitely overthinking it and need to be patient! 😂

@Springcloud26 yes definitely possible you’ll ovulate around the same time still! All you can do is keep testing and trying to track your LH surge etc! I never know for sure when’s the best time I just try and get a few days in of DTD as close to ovulation as possible, normally tracking CM really helps me and I also feel ovulation cramps.

@Maybebby it’s actually nice to remember there’s only so much you can control!

I’ll try and dtd every other day until start to get surge then go for every day for a couple of days, then I’ll know I couldn’t have done any more, whatever happens! I’m doing a lh strip every couple of days just to make sure nothing strange is happening 😂

I’ve also been headachey today, which I’m hoping is a sign of hormone changes but I’ve also reduced caffeine and sugar in the past week so it could be related to that.

@Springcloud26 exactly! And what is meant for you will always be, so I guess you just have to trust the (rather painful at times) process.

sounds like a very good plan and should cover you!! Me and my partner only managed twice on fertile days this cycle, so I reckon that will put you in pretty good standing.

could be a sign of a shift!🤞

Finally got a flashing smiley today, my LH is still low so looks like I'm about a week behind... still, very glad something is happening. Hopefully your hormones will also kick in soon @Springcloud26 !

Hope you start seeing the LH rise soon @Springcloud26. The waiting around is really frustrating.

I’m still having some cramping, trying to remind myself that I had this when I was pregnant with DD but I’m still finding it difficult emotionally as it reminds me so much of the MMC. Just trying to take things day by day for now (and also trying to stop myself taking any more tests!).

Ohh that’s great news @tabbycatslave, hopefully you will start to see the LH surge soon!

I think my bleeding is getting lighter, I didn’t test today but will do it again tomorrow. I hope by the weekend it sorts itself out! Thanks @tabbycatslave @Pottingsheddays, and good idea to take it a day at a time, it must be really worrying after the MMC. x

I ordered a copy of the It starts with an egg book to see if there is anything more I can do while I’m waiting, hopefully it arrives soon!

Can I join please? Struggling at the moment. Had a prolonged mmc at 10 weeks in July after 2 years of trying. Skipped August, started TTC again in September but currently on my period again. Seems like everyone I know is pregnant and due the same time as me.

I do have a DC already and have lots of wonderful people in my life so just trying to be positive. I’m 38.

Thank you! No it hasn’t, at all😂 I sneaked some tests away, it’s looking good at the moment I am just so paranoid. I know this is just gonna be the most anxious few weeks till I have a scan.

I hope you’re holding up okay and congratulations to you too! It’s difficult not reading in to everything little thing and worrying about it, how many weeks are you? Sorry if you’ve said previously!

Sorry to hear you’re going through this, I hope you’re doing ok through this difficult time. It’s hard when others are falling around you, I feel as though with my friends they get a positive and everything just goes smoothly whereas my pregnancies are never simple and always filled with worry!

Sorry to hear about your mmc @ElinorDashw00d, it’s such an awful thing to go through. There are a few of us who’ve been through similar at around ten weeks. Hope you’ve got people to support you 💕

@Maybebby I’m around 4+2 so still very very early days. Think I’m going to be an anxious wreck until at least 12 weeks if not beyond! But trying not to panic over every little sensation and change. I know the nausea is likely to take me out in a week or so too, so trying to enjoy things while I can! Hope you have a good weekend away.

Really hope AF is over for you now @Springcloud26. Hopefully you’ll see that flashing smiley soon!

Hi ladies. I went quiet for a while after a failed last cycle.
I have ultimate line eyes today. I think I’m 10/11dpo.
did two tests this morning (pic 1) , CB 6 days early and a pink strip. I thought I saw the faintest of shadows on each- but SERIOUSLY faint and open to interpretation. Husband couldn’t see a thing!!
did another pink strip 5 hrs later (pic 3) because I can’t wait and I have a wedding tonight and want to know if I can drink! I think it’s darker now?! Plus, clear blue test now has obvious blue dye on it (pic 2) but it’s obvs 5 hrs later…
I’ll upload pics. Am I delusional?

It's faint but I can see something on both!
