Apologies if this has already been posted. Did a quick search and didn't find anything.

Michael Conroy attended and recorded a mermaids training session. It's hair raising listening.

I believe that someone is working on transcribing this, which will hopefully make it easier to analyse. But wanted to post it to make sure it hadn't been missed.

What kind of training audio is so controversial that a recording of it is removed that quickly?

I'm really confused as to why (presumably) people are getting the recording removed? It was public training - I didn't realise Mermaids training was some big secret that you had to sign an NDA to access....

Very keen to hear/ read what’s on that recording. Why would there be anything in their training they didn’t want anyone else to hear?! Very intruiging!

Without putting undue pressure on you, seeing as you have a downloaded copy of the audio, could you possibly produce a summarised transcript or even total transcript, for the sake of public knowledge?

So we can’t listen to a training session by Mermaids, you know that squeaky clean, open, all inclusive organisation, that the Big Lottery has just funded to the tune of £500k, using public money?

Gone. On the £500k thread there are post about a wonderful person doing a transcription, so it should be downloaded somewhere.

Maybe there has been threats to how ever posted the recording?

Hi, I can't believe it's down again! I am working on a transcript, but with Christmas and stuff, it'll take a bit of time

Re any possible transcription, do make sure that no comments by those attending the training session which may identify children they work with are included.

It may also be appropriate to summarise & anonymise comments or questions from the trainees except for the man consciously challenging some of the Mermaids' representative's claims.

Its the training which needs evaluation.

It would be great if (in the fullness of time) someone could do a beeped out version which could be made public.
