Anyone else planning on watching this at 9pm on channel 4?

AWendyAteMyFitbit Sun 28-May-17 20:20:51

Yep, can't wait! From what I can see from the reviews it really matches up to the book.

Yes I've been annoying the wife everytime the advert comes on by saying "I'm going to watch that"

Been a while since I read the book.

TheNumberfaker Sun 28-May-17 20:25:21

Upside to our flights being cancelled at Heathrow yesterday... I get to watch this!

GoldSpot Sun 28-May-17 20:25:56

Yes - I'm looking forward to it! Last night was 12 Years a Slave - possibly something uplifting tomorrow!

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth Sun 28-May-17 20:29:07

Yes, I am really looking forward to it.

Can't wait!

VERY excited - loved, loved the book but hated the film.... This is supposed to be fab!

alabasterangel Sun 28-May-17 20:31:17

Yes. I'm not an Atwood fan but my DH and DM are devotees so I'm up for giving it a go. It's a 10 parter, isn't it?

AWendyAteMyFitbit Sun 28-May-17 20:32:35

I got this copy and love the red page ends <bit obsessed>.

DumbledoresArmy Sun 28-May-17 20:34:24

I've not read the book since A Levels & loved it then! Never saw the film but heard it's not great.

AWendyAteMyFitbit Sun 28-May-17 20:37:06

Haven't seen the film either, maybe that was a lucky swerve?

AdalindSchade Sun 28-May-17 20:42:19

I enjoyed the film but it had a lot of flaws

countycouncil Sun 28-May-17 20:44:12

I bought the book (hasn't arrived yet), should I watch tonights episode or quickly read the book first then binge watch? What a dilemma

anotherpoisonprince Sun 28-May-17 20:46:19

I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I read the book a couple of months ago and absolutely love it.

soundsystem Sun 28-May-17 20:47:44

Yep! Well, recording it to watch tomorrow. And rereading the book tonight! Quite excited...

weebarra Sun 28-May-17 20:49:19

Really looking forward to it. Mentioned it to DH and he thought it was a period drama. Hmm, not quite!

MistyMinge Sun 28-May-17 20:50:27

I've not read the book. The adverts for the show have looked good. I do enjoy a good drama on a Sunday night.

Iris65 Sun 28-May-17 20:51:56

Not much longer to wait!

Agoddessonamountaintop Sun 28-May-17 20:52:47

I've got my timer set on my phone to remind me!

Theimpossiblegirl Sun 28-May-17 20:56:44

County, I would read the book first. I won't post any spoilers but I've watched the first few episodes and it's very, very good, but I was glad I'd just finished the book because of the timeline and flashbacks differing slightly.

user1482079332 Sun 28-May-17 20:59:04

Waiting for all the episodes on catch up so I can binge. I'm to impatient to watch it week by week

AWendyAteMyFitbit Sun 28-May-17 21:05:48

Oh it's heartbreaking already.

TheSpottedZebra Sun 28-May-17 21:07:48

YES, I too am in.

I loved, and have forgotten the detail of, the book.
