(976 Posts)The ERG to be the grinch that stole the Tory Party Christmas who ultimately get what they deserve.
To remain in the EU
Donald Trump's impeachment
For politics to be boring again
A trex toy for my son
And lo a huge mountain of T rex toys arrive courtesy of MN.
The rest may be stuck in the chimney.
Can I ask for some magical technological fix for climate change too.
I’d quite like to see Aaron Banks get his just desserts too.
Dd would like an Lol house (that’s so not happening).
I would love to see Trump impaled on a spike in Times Square, and JRM's hedge fund to go so bust it loses him his home. If both those happened I would happily believe in one of the many gods. Probably whichever is the god of retribution.
For the seas to be free of plastic and full of coral reefs regenerating, for our uplands to be rewilded and full of life, for there to be a hundred sky larks singing in a field instead of one, for people to have the ability to live and love freely across the world, for there not to be a single child hungry this Christmas, to have hope that my children will inherit a better world than this one.
Now I've made myself cry...
Lovely thoughts Whereare and you have got me going too.
From Reggie Perrin, 'a bit of a cock up on the politics front'.
PMK with my Christmas list which (apart from the obvious) would include a better balance being struck between human and other living things.
• 7.7 billion humans and 60 Javan rhinos.
• 7.7 billion humans and 720 mountain gorillas
•7.7 billion humans and 3,200 tigers
These figures are beyond wrong.
Blimey chickens, you've even got me welling up with that post. Oh if life was so easy
Selfishly I really just want to sort this mess out as I’m extremely worried about what this means for my daughter ( multiple illnesses and disabilities )
I know I’m hours after the fray. But source in No10 says 48 letters are in and second source says conversations have taken place between Cabinet Office and Palace

Plaice Mat King because it's the evening here and I dread getting up tomorrow to see what madness has taken place overnight, and I know I'll need this little corner of sanity
To keep my burgundy passport because we don’t leave.
To wake up and find out the last 2.5 years have been one horrendous nightmare.
Seriously scared about the prospect of an ERG nutter in charge and a No Deal scenario.
The passport could be blue to please the headbangers, but as long as it said European Union on it, I would be happy with it.
Yes to all the wishes about the environment and wildlife. And for an international fund to be set up to pay countries not to cut down rainforests. After all its unrealistic to expect developing countries not to exploit its resources and stay poor. Money can come from taxing huge international companies like Facebook on its entire global profits.
I also hope my sons mental health improves this year. And his sleeping. (I'm not up this late for fun!)
Thanks, red 💐

Senior Tory to me: “with the vote postponed, are the promises to my colleagues of peerages and knighthoods still good”.
They should have read the small print 😂
But I want the burgundy one Peregrina. How dare you.
For the completely unnecessary, iconoclastic destruction that is Brexit to go away, because most of us have problems in our personal lives that are enough to be going on with.
Just musing on Anna Soubry's odd comment to Richard Burgon on BBC last night, telling Labour they should call a vote of no confidence in the government, and saying if they do she will back the government....is it possible she was dog-whistling to the Labour front bench? Warning not to call it yet as it will unite the Tories behind May - if even Soubry would rally round, there can't be many Tories who wouldn't?
Or maybe I'm just overtired
PMK. For Christmas, just more kindness would be a start.
Message withdrawn at poster's request.
I would wish for some actual grown ups to be in charge, not the faux grown ups we currently have.

BREAK: @skynews confirms that the threshold has been met.

BREAK: 48 letters are in, Graham Brady confirms
Woohooo! Here we go. Seatbelt buckled. (PMK)
