Dark concerns

For reasons I won't go into -DH I'm looking at you- our laundry was "darked on" overnight.
AIBU to consider one of the following remedial actions?:

a) throw the clothes away and buy replacements. It was a washing line full, all in very good condition so would be costly.

b) invest in a tanning sun bed (saw a used one for £2.5k on eBay) and use it to bring the laundry back to the "light". Could be a good back up in the event he does this shit again.

c) LTB.

I'll go with the highest vote, I'm really not precious about it. Thanks.

confused just wear them as normal.

Get a priest in to dedark your washing.
Or a medicine man.
Or find an angel to shine their halo on it.
Only solutions. grin

WillowWeeping Tue 23-May-17 13:16:13

Could you try again in English?

gwenneh Tue 23-May-17 13:17:36

I mean if you asked him to bring the laundry in then the only solution is LTB. You don't need that in your life!

ImNegan Tue 23-May-17 13:17:38

It needs to be added to the Oxford if not already.

Darked on: applies to laundry left on the washing line overnight attracting to it spider sweat, owl dribble and foxes' fungal nail infection pus.

Or something.

OP you clearly should have put lighthearted in your title! hmm
There have been lots of discussions on here about leaving washing out overnight. Many posters expressed horror that the washing would get "darked on!"

ImNegan Tue 23-May-17 13:19:01

I can't just wear them! The dark would spread.

Clary sage. grin

Gwencooper81 Tue 23-May-17 13:19:58

Oh goodness me. I can't believe it's been darked on. You do know spiders have rubbed their willies on your undies don't you?
Buy the sunbed..it's a small priced to pay for truly light and clean washing.
Best wishes.
my washing was out for ages last week in the rain.. its natures fabric conditioner don't ya know?!

Whatthefuckis1tnow Tue 23-May-17 13:20:32

Mine was also darked on last night, only because I couldn't be arsed to bring it in! I've set it all on fire already 😂

SuperMoonIsKeepingMeUpToo Tue 23-May-17 13:22:01

Do you mean you had a mixed wash accident? (Live that term!) Put it in again with a cup of white wine vinegar www.cleanipedia.com/gb/laundry-washing/colour-run-removers-remove-dye-from-clothes.

ImNegan Tue 23-May-17 13:23:19

Wolfie I think you're right. Should have set the scene with the "lighthearted" disclaimer

It's an MN thing - i think it's intended to be an amusing reflection on someone leaving clothes on the line overnight confused

ChazsBrilliantAttitude Tue 23-May-17 13:25:18

Scrub it with a babywipe, they clean everything including getting "the dark" off washing

SnotGoblin Tue 23-May-17 13:26:09

Mine almost got darked on on Sunday but I came to my senses and brought it in before I fell asleep on the couch grin. La vida loca!

wineusuallyhelps Tue 23-May-17 13:26:14

Just got my washing in after leaving it out overnight - there was a small spider web touching the edge of my joggers. Can't cope. grin

wonkylegs Tue 23-May-17 13:26:49

Yup a baby wipe dry clean will solve everything including being darked on.

Spiders have willies?

HerRoyalFattyness Tue 23-May-17 13:31:53

The dark would spread

Maybe some dark spreads, but surely you're educated enough to know that NADILT (Not All Dark Is Like That)

sonlypuppyfat Tue 23-May-17 13:33:31

Zoflora is the answer to everything

ImNegan Tue 23-May-17 13:35:10

There are so many great choices now, thank you helpful pps but with my luck I fear some of the cheaper ones won't work. I'm going to have to find an angel with a shiny halo, aren't I?

LTB - there's no excuse for that
