For reasons I won't go into -DH I'm looking at you- our laundry was "darked on" overnight.
AIBU to consider one of the following remedial actions?:

a) throw the clothes away and buy replacements. It was a washing line full, all in very good condition so would be costly.

b) invest in a tanning sun bed (saw a used one for £2.5k on eBay) and use it to bring the laundry back to the "light". Could be a good back up in the event he does this shit again.

c) LTB.

I'll go with the highest vote, I'm really not precious about it. Thanks.

Holy shit, I actually hang mine out overnight in the summer so it doesn't go all starchy from the sun. Now I know I have been getting it wrong all these years and I'm walking around with spiders semen and fungal fox pus on my clothes.......... Shock Shock empties wardrobe as we speak

leghoul · 23/05/2017 14:11

& I have just spent a while google image searching spider penis

shuts the internet

BattleaxeGalactica · 23/05/2017 14:12

Leave it out all day, OP. Daylight will lift the curse. Unless it's been donned by vampires under cover of darkness in which case it will disintegrate at first light.

mortificado · 23/05/2017 14:24

Leghoul
What does it look like?!

harderandharder2breathe · 23/05/2017 14:27

If you're a bit fond of DH, get the sunbed. If he's annoyed you lately the LTB.

Consider hiring a servant or a robot to bring in your washing as soon as it gets slightly less than broad daylight to prevent this travesty ever happening again.

LTB.

(My neighbours washing regularly gets darked on and I've seen the state of them.)

Lotsawobblybits I now have an image of an octopus in a pair of knickers. Wondered what on earth you meant to begin with! Grin

OP, that's a heinous crime. I'd be ringing my solicitor straightaway.

leghoul · 23/05/2017 14:33

I am so shaken I cannot link try again

squirre1 · 23/05/2017 14:36

I'd cut my losses, burn it and bury it in a mahousive hole. Maybe put cement on top just to make sure the dark doesn't seep out. You just can't be too careful.

Neverknowing · 23/05/2017 14:36

LTB
And burn them all. What a selfish arse leaving your clothes open to spider willies and such Angry

MyPatronusIsAUnicorn · 23/05/2017 14:57

If my washing hasn't quite dried the day before and I know it's going to be nice the next day, I purposely leave it out to be darked on because I can't be bothered to bring it in and hang it out again.

RosaDeZoett · 23/05/2017 15:25

Cut a potato in half, rub both halves all over the washing. Then bury the potato, the washing and your oh in your back garden. After one week, dig up the washing, it will be good as newSmile

ImNegan · 23/05/2017 15:31

After a horrified look at leghoul's link, my knickers will be the first to get burned. It's that or I get impregnated with a million spider babies because some moonlighting arachnid dragged his freaky bits across my underwear.

RosaDeZoett Now that I think I can do.

Condenser tumble dryer op.

That is all

Whiskwarrior · 23/05/2017 15:47

Excuse me, but did you actually hang your underwear outside where people might see it?

The shame of it!

You brazen hussy.

AnarchyKitty · 23/05/2017 15:49

The only solution.

CuppaSarah · 23/05/2017 15:50

If the spiders drag their willies on your underwear, is it possible to get pregnant with spider babies?

Darked on laundry is dangerous stuff indeed

Dianneabbottsmathsteacher · 23/05/2017 15:53

An octopus in your pants could be fun

Clandestino · 23/05/2017 15:53

Do you have a Catholic Church nearby? Go and fetch some holy water.
Next time don't forget to put some garlic near the line. That will ensure that vampires won't sit on your drying laundry and soil it with potential germy blood.

TryingNotToWaddle · 23/05/2017 15:53

LTB!

Bag up the darked on garments and make him take them with him when he goes. You just don't need that kind of negativity in your life...
