Dark concerns

For reasons I won't go into -DH I'm looking at you- our laundry was "darked on" overnight.
AIBU to consider one of the following remedial actions?:

a) throw the clothes away and buy replacements. It was a washing line full, all in very good condition so would be costly.

b) invest in a tanning sun bed (saw a used one for £2.5k on eBay) and use it to bring the laundry back to the "light". Could be a good back up in the event he does this shit again.

c) LTB.

I'll go with the highest vote, I'm really not precious about it. Thanks.

I've only just seen this thread and assumed that 'darked on'meant a man had pissed or shat on the clothes. That seems to happen a lot on MN.

ImNegan · 24/05/2017 21:34

HelsinkiLights At £2999 for one instalment of "Dark be gone" I think I'll go for the £2.5k sunbed instead.

There's been an eerie mood in the house since he took the washing off the line as ordered yesterday evening. It's not your standard sulking; there's a depth to his silence. I tried to make small talk earlier to relieve the atmosphere but instead of just ignoring me (which was what I expected to be fair) he stood and stared at me for what felt like an eternity. No words. I swear the whites of his eyes disappeared, I was staring back into two pools of blackness.

AIBU to think the dark has spread?

Of course. You've been warned, but you didn't take heed whilst you had the chance op.

HelsinkiLights · 24/05/2017 22:01

Yes he's been darked too ImNegan. I think your DH may need dry cleaning.

Btw last year I found out spiders scream or maybe it was only my spider that screams. He/she got stuck in my hair. I could hear this high pitched buzzy shrieky noise and wondered if I had tinnitus until I shook my head and a spider dropped onto my lap Shock
Or maybe spider was singing?

GinIsIn · 24/05/2017 22:08

I believe the ultimate cure for darked on washing is to spray it with gin, then scrub it with a baby wipe dipped in zoflora.....

MommaGee · 25/05/2017 00:02

Oh god guess where my washing is???

HelsinkiLights · 25/05/2017 00:06

Same place as mine Momma but I've got our cat out on darked patrol Grin

Jesus, you've just described my worst nightmare. I feel a bit sick 😷

MommaGee · 25/05/2017 10:07

It was ok. Despite having a heart of darkness, DH actually rescued AND FOLDED the washing before bed, I just hadn't noticed

HelsinkiLights · 25/05/2017 10:23

Momma your DH had seen the light Grin

ToddlerIs2 · 25/05/2017 16:32

I might retest him. We did a test once and his character from LOTR was the EYE OF SAURON!
