I'm happy to carry on the thread . I will start a March one on Tuesday night . I will try to do CENTER again properly if my shoulder holds up! I really enjoyed it and have missed doing it this month

Thanks @Sooverthemill I am always Impressed with your commitment!
I will do Center again too in March.

VerbenaView · 26/02/2023 23:08

Center Day 26 today, and I had drank too much water beforehand, it was a dreadful practice, I felt so sick and uncomfortable and was glad when it ended.
I'm continuing with Center in March as I would like to add in a short weights session each day too.

Thanks @Sooverthemill for continuing to lead us next month, I really appreciate it.

BestIsWest · 27/02/2023 02:03

Move day 26 today and it felt hard. I’m so out of practice. Definitely going to give Center another try next month.

Yogachick · 27/02/2023 06:56

I slept badly then spent too much time scrolling social media this morning(why do we do that???) cba really, disappointing after yesterday’s joy,so I did Day 26 of Align,Reunite with your breath. I’m asthmatics so it’s never a bad thing to work on my breath, though there was still a few pauses to cough the gunk up🙄 I liked how I felt after practice yesterday much better but I got a practice done

Yogachick · 27/02/2023 07:01

And yes @Sooverthemill ,that was young a Adriene in her old house. Young and fun,she seems more serious and considered these days. Is this the pressures of all that comes with adulting ,life knocks we accumulate,illness,people/animals we lose along the way? We all evolve into different people as we have the privilege of aging, Adriene is forever caught on video along the way💖

hoochycrone · 27/02/2023 08:29

Day 27 move strength 😮

The knee to elbow things were a struggle and my glasses got steamed up 🤓

But it feels good to have done it.

In the words of A, @Sooverthemill you are my hero. Thanks for the thread.

Yes @Yogachick ageing is a privilege. What we are doing here is helping us to do it with strength and health, though it doesn't seem like that at the time 😂

Sooverthemill · 27/02/2023 09:00

Aww people you’re making me teary! You are as much for me as I am for you!

yes I’ve done Home ( I’ve done all of them). I liked it, not my favourite ( true used to be maybe Center now) but so good!

I think Adrienne has evolved over the years, like us all. She’s so lovely ( like us all)
painful shoulder so a little Kassandra today. Osteopath at2.45 , counting down the minutes! Kassandra said something in the video today ‘don’t let getting onto the mat be an added stress’

Hi everyone.
Thanks for running the threads @Sooverthemill . Good luck with your appointment today.
I think I will do Center again next month. I loved Move last year but I don't think I am strong enough for it yet.
Day 24 - Explore. Loved it. I can feel my body responding to the daily yoga. Such a good feeling. Wasn't ready for full Camel yet but I did test all my muscles by leaning back. Wow it felt good.

See you tomorrow.

ScottishBeth · 27/02/2023 09:26

Again haven't posted in a few days. Since I posted Ive done days 17, 18 and 19 of Move. Ive enjoyed them all. Just done 19 and I really enjoyed doing Triangle and Standing Splits.

Sometimes she'll do something that's not a standard pose, I don't think, but it's such a mice stretch. Unfortunately I can never remember them when I do my own practice on day 30. Don't suppose it matters, really.

I'm just going to keep going with Move - don't know what I'll do after that.

@Yogachick she is still pretty goofy sometimes! On day 18 she suggested she might be AI! Though she is more mature, I guess. I wonder if she feels more mature or just feels like the rest of us - simultaneously about 900 years old and confused about how much responsibility she has! That's how I feel most of the time and I think I'm a similar age to her.

Jumbojem · 27/02/2023 09:38

Morning, Day 24 Move today for me. I'd love to catch up (to Day 29 anyway) but not sure it's doable. Hoping to get Day 25 in later but that works leave me 3 for tomorrow which seems unlikely!
I was away with an athletics group and was having a good chat about yoga and Pilates with the coaches, some do no stretching and it really shows that they are less flexible in pre/post run stretches and one cries out in agony when stretching hips and hamstrings. I was def recommending some yoga to him! OH runs a lot too with little stretching I keep inviting him to join me but he's declined so far!

HellonHeels · 27/02/2023 11:38

Day 26 Move last night. Mostly recovered from being ill but found this one really challenging. Was surprised by the level of rage that came up!

Effing Horizon twists. Everything hurts in them, in fact I can't actually do them it hurts so much on my feet and in my shoulder joints.

Also have never understood thread the needle (arms version, not legs). Even when I was younger, slimmer and much fitter I struggled with this a lot. Hurts shoulder joints and somehow I can only ever end up pressing weight into my head which I am sure is not the point of the pose. Anyone got any tips?

Thank you @Sooverthemill I've really appreciated these threads and our yoga community 💚

notanicepersonapparently · 27/02/2023 16:42

Thank you @Sooverthemill for keeping these threads going. It’s lovely to read what everyone has been doing yoga wise. It was Move day 27 for me today. I was hoping for something nice and stretchy I got loads of planks and knees to elbow. Exhausting. I’m sure it’s done me good.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 27/02/2023 17:36

@HellonHeels I don't get thread the needle either. I don't have a very flexible body so the underneath arm doesn't get very far through the needle. Maybe someone else can shed a bit of light.

Sooverthemill · 27/02/2023 18:00

I can't find an Adrienne one ( I felt sure she did one) but here's a kassandra tutorial for ? I love this pose

I went down a rabbit hole of scrolling back through the previous 30 day series. I always felt before Move they were 30-40 minutes a day. Whilst the odd one is longer, actually a lot are in the 20-25 min window with some shorter than that.
So my current thinking is I'll do Centre again for March then I might try one of the earlier series for April . Not sure which yet, open to recs from anyone who's completed the earlier ones, I started at a few but didn't stick to any until Move came along last year.
Anyway, while I was scrolling I found this video where she talks about the first ever (I think) 30 day series, than introduces a super cute 6 week old Benji to the world, it's worth sharing the

CeeCeeDeeBee · 27/02/2023 20:48

@Buttalapasta I've done Home, actually I've done all of the 30 day series. They're all really good.

Finally caught up on Center with days 26 and 27! Will do 28 and 29 tomorrow, hopefully. I was too frazzled for the yin practice today, but still enjoyed it.

Re thread the needle, I find putting my weight into my supporting hand helps lengthen the stretch. Don't know if that helps!

Sooverthemill · 27/02/2023 21:10

Benji was so cute! Her old dog had died earlier that year and I know she was devastated. She still has Benji but the boyfriend has been replaced!

I’ve enjoyed day 27 center and I love thread the needle but I’m never sure what it does!

will go back to move on Weds. it’s bound to be a shock!

HellonHeels · 27/02/2023 23:34

Thanks for the TtN tips and especially for finding the Kassandra video. I'll check it out tomorrow. Maybe I can learn to love it 😀

Buttalapasta · 28/02/2023 06:16

That's what I was thinking too. Possibly Home as they don't look too long.

Me too. I would like to do Center as I’ve only done it the once. I was thinking of perhaps then trying an older one perhaps True as I’ve never done that one but Home would also be good.

Sooverthemill · 28/02/2023 08:35

In lots of pain after osteopath ( normal for me as my body gets reset) so I just did some shoulder and neck stretches. And took cocodamol!

OP posts:
hoochycrone · 28/02/2023 09:42

Oh, @Sooverthemill hope the pain eases up soon. Sounds bad.

Yep, me too for center in March ☺️ good grief it's March tomorrow 😮 st Davids day, on with the daffodils DaffodilDaffodilDaffodil

Day 28 move. Gosh after yesterday was dreading it, but this was a lovely practice.

Yogachick · 28/02/2023 09:44

Running late today so random Yoga for Focus and productivity just so I get a practice in. Nice triangle in there and a great cue to lift as though the arm that’s up is pulling you up. As I haven’t actually done Centre I think I’ll join @Buttalapasta in March then I highly recommend True as the next one. It’s the 30 days when I actually felt like a real yoga person. But then sometimes the monthly calendars offer new practices…. Being decisive is not a strength of mine🙄
