I've not posted as much recently. But have still managed yoga every day! Although some days I've done a 10 minute bedtime practice or similar. On that note I love that bedtime practice - it makes me feel super relaxed.

Today I did Move day 14 and it was really nice and stretchy. I hate the yoga squat though! I don't mind adapting most things because I feel like I still get the same benefit, but I am just not really convinced that my version of the squat is doing much for me at all! Oh well.

I am pleased I have kept up with daily yoga, but I think I got more out of the 30 day series when I actually did it in 30 days. I'm not really getting a sense of Move the way I did with with Center. Oh well, I'm still getting stronger and more flexible! Sometimes when I'm playing w9th my little girl I get into downward dog and she just crawls in between my arms and legs and she loves it! But there's not way I would have been able to hold it long enough before!

It's so good to see so many of us keeping up! And it seems like people are recovering from bugs, which is good! Glad you are feeling better @Yogachick

Coincidentally I did this one today too and really enjoyed it !
I loved yogic squat as one year on I can actually do it with my feet flat and feeling quite stable and relaxed so it's one of those that now reminds me how much stronger I am .

Shinyandnew2022 · 22/02/2023 21:53

I might try Center 22 tomorrow after
the recommendations - I am dipping in and out all over the place but might try
To repeat following one of them in sequence for March - February has been rather patchy .

Sooverthemill · 23/02/2023 08:32

I did a kassandra one today to make sure I did so was I have to do a lot of admin today with a long list of phone calls and I didn't want to take too long. My aim is to start day one of CENTER on 1 March. Well done those who are still here

I did day 23 of Move today but found it boring. Sorry Adriene!

ScottishBeth · 23/02/2023 09:00

@Shinyandnew2022 that's encouraging. At the moment it just feels like it's not really doing anything, and won't help me work towards the full pose. I did used to be able to do a full squat, so maybe I should see how far I can get with my feet flat.

@Buttalapasta thats a shame, but can't love them all! Hopefully day 24 will be better.

OopNorfDahnSarf · 23/02/2023 09:59

Center Days 20 & 21.
20 was really gentle and felt like a rest day. 21 was a bit brutal. Lots of core work. I am glad it was shortish.

hoochyhag · 23/02/2023 10:02

Move day 23

It was ok for me, couldn't do those twists at the end though.

When I used to dip in and out, I found it so hard and had such a sense of failure.

But, for me, doing move in sequence after center is great, and I can see how much better I am.

But I know that life gets in the way, and if we do anything at all, it's fabulous.

I love this thread, it's so honest and supportive. Couldn't do this on my own.

Yes to doing center in March!

Inwil
joun you in requesting center in March.

Did day 19 center play
Another I’ve missed last month.
Once I got into it I quite liked - short but quite fast.

BestIsWest · 23/02/2023 15:35

I’ve been quite poor this month and have probably managed an average of every other day. I’m going to do move next month I think as I feel it’s better for strength which is what I need.

CirreltheSquirrel · 23/02/2023 18:17

I did day 13 of move today. I'm also mixing it up a bit with shorter practices on busy days. I'm off on holiday next week so we'll see if I manage to keep it up every day - I will take a mat but it depends on what else we end up doing

Shinyandnew2022 · 23/02/2023 20:51

Move day 15 (again!) today it's one of my all time favourites with knocking on heavens door , thread the needle, twists and then an unexpected forearm plank .
I agree that it's easier to be consistent when you work through one series as well all did in January.
I think I would be happy to give Center another go but I did find some of the early sessions a bit long as I only get a small window of time in the evenings.

VerbenaView · 23/02/2023 23:50

Center day 22 yesterday and day 23 today, I really wasn't in the mood for either day, but I enjoyed both days. I love it how that happens.

ScottishBeth · 24/02/2023 07:28

I did Move day 15 before bed last night. It really made me feel good. It energised me after a hard day! But not in a way that stopped me going to sleep. It was a nice mix of stretchy and strengthening. Forearm plank is so difficult! I think normal plank is not that challenging any more, so I'm always surprised by forearm plank.

Buttalapasta · 24/02/2023 12:12

I liked Day 24 of Move. Nice and flowy although I still can't do one-legged dog to cobra. Just seems impossible without belly flopping and knocking your teeth out.

Rummikub · 24/02/2023 13:20

Day 20 Center restore

Really nice one. Starts on back, stretchy, 15 ish mins.

😂😂 this is me too

ScottishBeth · 24/02/2023 14:15

@Buttalapasta 😂losing teeth would be an unfortunate yoga injury!

Move day 16 this morning. I enjoyed it a lot but it was hard! I had to rest extra at one point and skip the downdog and whatever else she did. When I joined them in mountain my heart was still racing! It wasn't the best set up for Dancer pose. Still a good practice though.

Yogachick · 24/02/2023 14:19

Move Day 16 for me this morning. I just wasn’t up to anything yesterday . I’m going to ease back and do some other bits till I’m fully recovered, the snot fest is still strong

hoochyhag · 24/02/2023 14:31

Oh we are so good to keep going!

Day 24 move. Not much into the initial extended hand rubbing, and the standing fours were hilarious. So glad I was alone, apart from the dog Grin

HellonHeels · 24/02/2023 16:19

I'm on Day 10 of the snotfest illness, really fed up with it. Have been plodding along with Move, some of the sessions I have really not made much of an effort but at least I showed up. I'm finding her a bit too chatty in some of the sessions. Especially when it's a move repeated on the other side of the body and she talks endlessly on one side until I'm about to collapse and then I feel rushed through the other side. Am being a bit grumpy, I fear.

Not sure what series to do next month. What was the one before Move? Was it Breathe? Anyone remember what that was like?

BestIsWest · 24/02/2023 17:16

I got half way through Move 24 and realised I was getting neck and shoulder twinges so went and the first half of Center 24 which was some nice gentle neck twists. Not ideal but I showed up.

notanicepersonapparently · 24/02/2023 17:28

Day 24 of move for me. I had a go at the one legged dog to cobra move but it’s only for those with strong arms I fear. Calf ached like anything on those standing one leg mountains.
i reading with interest which series you are platoon doing next month but I’m undecided still myself.
All those who are a bit poorly still and are keeping going are amazing.

Weepingwillows12 · 24/02/2023 19:17

I have been working my way through centre this week but today I just wanted something different so picked a move one. I can't decide what to do next month. I definitely benefit more from the tailored month practices as I have a tendency to pick easy ones if I feel I have a choice. Still better than nothing but not as good as I could be. I fancy a different one to centre but the shorter length really helps me. Anything over 25 mins and I am put off before I start.

Rummikub · 24/02/2023 19:38

Yes I’m the same - if I see a practise near to 30 mins I would avoid.
Alrhough I really liked move I want to get into the habit and Center encourages that with the shorter sessions.

CeeCeeDeeBee · 24/02/2023 21:04

I did Center days 21 and 22 today, but wasn't feeling it at all. Still hoping to catch up before the end of the month... had better get a move on 😂
