Anyone else doing medical transcription at home?

Not much work and low pay but not much choice if you can't go out to work unfortunately.

Do you guys ever do healthcare market research transcriptions? Ie transcribing interviews with doctors / nurses / patients. Usually 60 minute audios that need transcribing.

@Portakalkedi as mentioned above if you check and read the thread, you need about 5 years experience and reference from your consultant. Plus many companies also require you to pass a test.

Been a real struggle today. I expected that this morning, but hoped this afternoon would be more productive. Given up now.

VR is driving me mad today, slightest pause in dictation and a full stop gets put in.

I was about to say the same thing! Plus a few commas. Have they upgraded their system do you think?

Also still many of the usual specialties/doctors missing but I have noted a couple of new ones creep in.

I’ve noticed this too. One sentence had about 15 full stops 🤯 I don’t what they are doing but it’s definitely worse than before.

Upgrades never seem to make life easier for us unfortunately!

OMG! - just done about 10 annotations, know exactly what you mean now with the full stops, that on top of shocking dictation 😩

@carosel2 it is dreadful isn’t it making an already difficult dictation in some cases even worse. There are so many VR errors now.

@juju1507 I just dont get it, why would updates do this to the system surely it should save its previous as it was unless they are trying to insert to make it easier but it puts full stops when it should be a comma and vice versa. Also ive noticed it doesnt do two spaces after the fullstop either its only one space and they request two before starting another sentence. There is hardly any work again and the ones I typed yesterday were backdated to June so again they are limiting work until the crap is typed

Just found this thread after months of searching, think I've just joined an old one as well 🥴

I am now having technical issues, first everything went very slow. Now it will not do anything, will not save/submit or transfer to WIP. Anyone else having issues? (My computer/other websites seem fine).

@Gally123 I’m struggling as well just keep getting the blue line going across the top, it is taking ages to load.

@Gally123 - I had issues this morning too just the same, even when I logged out and back in again it wouldnt clear. I ended uo closing down and restarting everything but again went funny again so I closed off for the day. I havent been on since as there wasnt much in my specialties and I couldnt be bothered attempting ones im not sure of particulalry with poor dictation so ive not done much at all today

@carosel2 I tried logging off and on again as well and it was still the same. So I had lunch and then it seemed to get fixed. I just assume they were tweaking with the system and finished whatever it was they were doing. Just wish they would do such work outside normal office hours, but these companies hardly ever do as they don't want to pay IT overtime (that said I noticed DICT8 had their system down for work yesterday (Sunday) morning for a couple of hours.

really struggling this morning, on usually my busiest morning of the week with three specialties holding clinics - and currently 0 across the board. Don't know who is controlling the work flow but I am not impressed. And DICT8 not much better either...

without naming hospital names there are a fair few tasks on my main one, admittedly a lot of terrible dictation but some decent stuff too.

@juju1507 think we must have different sites. Been doing a lot of DICT8 today instead as it has been so bad.
