Anyone else doing medical transcription at home?

Not much work and low pay but not much choice if you can't go out to work unfortunately.

@Gally123 - yes I totally agree! I think its out of order.

Anyone else having problems logging on with Tpro. Can't even get Slack up. This is the lowest amount of work I have ever seen on the system. I typed a letter and it stayed in my folder, not allowed access to it, it says.

loving Slack myself - I think it's a great app - I just keep my head down & only use it when I need to contact my TL or have a query about a file. She told me that direct messages are private and secure, similar to Whatsapp. Email was much too slow so I think this is a good alternative.

I have had better communication over the last weeks with my TL & I receive feedback and requests for urgent typing in real time, instead of the hours or days an email would take. I checked with the production manager and the company will not be reverting back to the old system so we might as well get used to it ... 😆

@Marlo52 yes very slow today, they have told us there are IT problems. I have had the same where a letter stays in my folder, I think it is just because it is slow and it will eventually disappear into the system...

@Wandalust69 Yes I like Slack too. TLs can easily send out requests for urgent files or update us generally. Only problem I have is I keep forgetting to sign out but I don't think it matters!

@olddoglover @Marlo52 - I logged out and back in again and it was much quicker, though I admit I wasn't sure I'd be able to log back in. Deffo not much work, esp when it gets down to single figures. Though a lot of issues with the new doctors using wrong templates and things having to be changed/swapped. Your life in their hands eh?

Yeah I think things were going wrong from my end too. I hope the work picks up, I did notice that too a few times with the doctors using wrong templates. Hopefully things pick up more after the holiday season.

Has anyone been paid yet?

@Lucylizzy123 I haven't checked yet but unlikely as it was a bank holiday in Ireland yesterday.

Pretty dire on the work front!

@carosel2 every week there now seems to be less and less work available. It's getting beyond a joke.

@Gally123 - yes I agree, its shocking ive no idea where the work has gone

How earth is anyone being able to maintain the standard characters, it just seems to be impossible to get half with the lack of work, hope this gets taken in to account when my invoice gets submitted

@carosel2 you have to work 9-5pm at least every day. I'm on 900,000 characters this month. Hoping to make the bonus level and still have Monday off.

@Gally123 - oh well done. Im afraid I cant commit like that due to commitments, school hols etc but im still struggling. It must be hard work for you working long hours like that. I hope they appreciate you 😊

@carosel2 I think we changed our contracts at the same time. prior to that I was on a minimum of 15 letters a day. Then they phased out that contract and replaced it with one of a minimum of six hours a day, which was in line with many of the contracts with other companies. Wetype had a contract of either mornings or afternoons only or full time workers (or a mix - I tried a two half days and one full day, and on the dot of 9am they would start emailing me the work they expected me to complete. However, I had problems with the software, you may remember, and contract was cancelled). With Accuro I had to say on the Friday what hours I was going to work on the following week so that they could send the work across. Only DICT8 has a "work whenever, as much or as little as you like" contract as they have so many workers, even so, many work full time for them, as I did for over 10 years.

I’ve been away on holiday for 10 days…is it really this bad again!
