Well utter rubbish yet again today! Tasks coming in with what sounds like two people dictating sat next to one another, one dictating not related to the my task sounds much clearer and is drowning out the doc that I should be transcribing for! Atrocious tasks all day, absolutely disgusting!😡

@Pinksvilles - ive sent back just abot 95% of all my tasks back today with queries. Im just waiting for the feeedback now 'you typed' etc 🙄

Well they keep sending the worst dictation ever which I try and type, goodness knows how, but then get the feedback of so called constructive criticism in abundance! I mean really! at 8p per line you really expect absolute perfection on these atrocious tasks! Give your head a shake PLEASE! 😡

Would be nice if we could add feedback/constructive criticism to those dictating tasks!

has the font size and spacing changed on the template or is it just me ?

@Pinksvilles Yes, it has. I like it better I think, although not as easy to find the degree symbol now.

@Pinksvilles i noticed it the other day then it reverted back to the way it was, then yesterday it has gone back to new format.

Yes I noticed it too but just wondered if id done something but then its still the same now

I noticed too. Also, now right mouse click to select correct spelling instead of left.

Mine changed and then changed back and then changed again .... I thought may be it was my computer so pleased to see everyone else has been affected.

Hi all, I’ve just applied to DICT8 as our hospital is going AI and I will miss typing :(….I assumed it would be the dictations that are tough to hear hence why they have been outsourced but to hear you are being criticised when you can’t hear a word etc is making me rage… are they not accepting your fair feedback when dictation is poor? We are not miracle workers …at the hospital; if after really trying we cannot hear a word we highlight back to the consultant (fairly)….Im not impressed if DICT8 are not accepting this genuine feedback of ‘impossible to hear’ dictation and critiquing the typist…might be rethinking the job offer then…

@Digitus they do seem to give new transcribers better quality dictations and send the cr*p to all the "older" workers. You can give it a go. Their feedback can be pretty harsh though - but we all get it so don't take it personally.

@Digitus be prepared for some very unpleasant feedback once you have been with them for a while. They are ruthless and no they don't care what your feedback in the note box is in actual fact they criticise that too (and you don't even get paid for the note box !!! )

Well feedback issues again, lots of notes on a task inaudible and rubbish, feedback please do not make so many notes, if the task is difficult to understand put it back in to the list then someone else can attempt it as other may not have a problem! year right! OR highlight task and send it to us. I would have to send all the chuffing lot back to them. As for putting it back in the list that's nice for someone else to get it but not only that it blocks my list!

carosel2, yes, so frustrating. I have found some tasks start out okay-ish, then become more inaudible as scans are read out at speed - then you run the risk of typing for free if you cancel and return the task and, like you say, it blocks other tasks.

With the new format I cannot get a ? it appears upside down is anyone else having this problem ? Do I use the upside down ? Surely I don't have to copy and paste a question mark 🙄

Scanty work all week, a few 26 second ones which are crap and not worth listening too let alone typing. Another short month for me 🙄I cannot understand why they are still advertising for typists when there is naff all work 😩

@tryingcouchto5K - yep! I've had them too and like you say easy to start then they get ridiculous!, as @Pinksvilles says hardly any tasks at all! and the ones that are there are rubbish! so why advertise for more typists!😡

@Pinksvilles @carosel2 - it's half term this week so always less work when schools on holiday and hence doctors on holidays (even if doctors' children go to private schools and their half term was last week it has a knock-on effect).

We still had full clinics running during school holidays, I never understand why it's so quiet on half term. Maybe my consultants were older ?! One thing I can't get my head around is the fact that you refresh your screen and there are 11 jobs pop up, then you go to take one and there are suddenly 3! What's going on?!

@Billybea that shows there are several transcribers working on the same specialty at the same time.

@Gally123 - Yeah thats true but my workload with them has been pretty dire regards to the amount for a while without half term etc but it will make it worse. I just have foreign doctors who cant pronounce words or clearly speak in a manner that makes sense. In fact I cant think back to when Ive ever had a pure English speaking doctor. Where are they? Well we know that dont we the secretaries will type them and you cant blame them and then leave the dregs to.Dict8 for us guys to pick up for peanuts
